Nowthen. Rant incoming.

10 things that p**s me off on socials 👇

1. Mic holding. You do know there’s a clip-on magnet for that, f*^kwit.

2. ChatGPT posters. Anyone and everyone churning them out, decorators to cafés. Ffs, have some originality.

3. Influencers bouncing from one brand to the next… “I only promote products I believe in.” Course you do.

4. Virtue signalling. Most of you don’t even like each other once the screens go off.

5. Buy Me a Coffee beggars. The ones messaging genuine decorators behind the scenes asking how to do a job, then posting like they’re the king of all knowledge. You think we don’t all know? Paying royalties to whoever you got that info off, are you?

6. Rage bait decorators. Posting sh*t purely for interaction and the algorithm. Get a life, rather than spending your evenings in online arguments you’ll never win.

7. Companies so desperate for content they’ll share any old 💩 that tags them. Someone spraying with no mask. Prep so bad it’s miles off what you teach on your own training courses. You know the ones.

8. Trade counter staff who are utterly clueless about what they’re selling. If I wanted the spiel I’d have read the data sheet online last night from my armchair. And the ones who tell you something’s the best …… (insert your own) ever, because so-and-so online says so. So it must be true.

9. Non-originality. Seen someone’s video, thought “I’ll have some of that”… then knocked out the Temu version.

10. People filming videos whilst they’re driving. Checking their looks on the phone camera an’ all. Ffs, that’s driving without due care and attention.

Rant over. Did I miss any? I could probably do ten more! Let me know yours 👇🏻

White roller garage door in Goole. Now Farrow & Ball French Grey.
Bit green, bit grey, changes with the light. Looks right at home against red brick.
Frame kept white deliberately. New front door and column surround on the way for the customer, so the whole front will match up once they’re fitted.
Respray, not replace.
📍 Goole, East Yorkshire

Same garage door. Very different look 👀
This roller garage door in Goole was white, a bit grubby and just sort of disappearing into the brickwork. Nothing wrong with it. It just wasn't doing the house any favours.
Sprayed it in Farrow & Ball French Grey and it sits so nicely against that red brick.
The frame's stayed white on purpose. The customer's got a new front door and column surround going in soon, so it'll all tie together once that's done.
No new garage door needed. Just a proper respray.
Working in Goole and right across East Yorkshire. If your garage door's looking tired, drop me a message 👍

Most people would assume this is a brand-new bespoke kitchen.

It isn’t.

It’s the original solid oak kitchen, professionally resprayed after extensive preparation and finished in a beautiful green with a durable 5% sheen finish.

Working alongside RM Joinery Kitchens & Bedrooms Ltd, the transformation was completed with new k***s and handles, upgraded appliances, and stunning Santorini by Cosentino Yorvik Drift (Bronze Rivers) worktops and splashbacks.

Another kitchen transformation completed in the beautiful village of Scorborough, within the parish of Leconfield, East Yorkshire.

I love projects like this because they show what’s possible with a professional kitchen respray. So many people assume they need a brand-new kitchen, when in reality a quality kitchen can often be completely transformed through kitchen cabinet spraying for a fraction of the cost.

For me, the preparation is everything. That’s what creates a smooth, factory-style finish that’s built to last and leaves customers feeling like they’ve had a completely new kitchen.

If you’re thinking about a kitchen respray in Scorborough, Leconfield, Beverley or anywhere across East Yorkshire, get in touch. I’d be happy to show you what’s possible with your existing kitchen.

What do you think of the transformation?

Most people would assume this is a brand-new bespoke kitchen.

It isn’t.

This is the original solid oak kitchen, professionally resprayed after extensive preparation and finished in a beautiful green with a durable 5% sheen finish.

Working alongside Richard Mackay , the transformation was completed with new k***s and handles, upgraded appliances, and stunning Santorini by Cosentino Yorvik Drift (Bronze Rivers) worktops and splashbacks.

Another kitchen transformation completed in the beautiful village of Scorborough, within the parish of Leconfield, East Yorkshire.

This is exactly why I love kitchen resprays. You don’t always need to replace a quality kitchen to achieve a completely different look. With the right preparation, professional kitchen cabinet spraying and attention to detail, an existing kitchen can be transformed into something that feels completely bespoke.

Every kitchen I spray starts with the preparation. That’s what creates a finish that’s designed to last, not just look good on the day it’s leaves the workshop.

If you’re considering a kitchen respray in Scorborough, Leconfield, Beverley or anywhere across East Yorkshire, I’d be happy to show you what’s possible.

Another one wrapped up.

This garage door was absolutely fine. It just didn’t fit where the property’s heading.

The customer is having all the windows replaced in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, so it made sense to get the garage door done first rather than leave a big white door staring back at them afterwards.

I get asked all the time, “Does it need replacing?”

Most of the time… no.

If the door’s sound, why spend thousands on a new one? A professional respray gives you that factory finish for a fraction of the cost and completely changes the look of the front of the house.

It’s funny how changing one thing can make everything else look newer.

If you’re wondering whether yours can be sprayed, send me a photo. I’ll tell you straight. If it needs replacing, I’ll say so. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that as well.

Before ➡️ After.

This garage door’s gone from white to RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, ready for the customer’s new anthracite windows that are being fitted soon.

Nothing wrong with the door. It worked exactly as it should.

It was just the wrong colour.

I think that’s something people overlook. If it’s still in good condition, replacing it often isn’t necessary. A proper respray gives it a completely different look for a fraction of the cost, and once the new windows are in it’ll all look like it was designed that way from the start.

I always enjoy jobs like these because they’re not about ripping things out and starting again.

They’re about making the most of what’s already there.

If you’re wondering whether yours can be sprayed, send me a photo. I’ll tell you straight. If it needs replacing, I’ll say so. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that as well. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just honest advice.
