The next transformation is underway... this time in Walthamstow, London.

These are the before and current progress photos of a project we've been asked to carry out for previous clients. It's always a great feeling when clients come back to us for their next project.

From the outside, this may not look like a huge extension, but don't let that fool you. This is a high-spec refurbishment with significant structural alterations, multiple knock-throughs and a complete reconfiguration of most of the ground floor. Every detail has been carefully designed by an award-winning architect to create a home that blends seamlessly with the surrounding conservation area while introducing a clean, contemporary feel.

The finished result is going to be something really special, but first we've got to battle the London clay!

At the moment we're carrying out the underpinning works, with the first sections of foundations excavated to an average depth of around 1.5 metres. Between the garden clearance, reducing ground levels, structural pad foundations and the first sections of footings, we've already removed over 55 tonnes of material from site.

Working in London is a completely different challenge. Every day is about planning logistics, organising deliveries, managing parking restrictions, keeping neighbours happy and, of course, trying to dodge the traffic wardens!

It's still early days, but we're looking forward to sharing the progress over the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the page to see this one take shape.

You’ve put in the miles, the early mornings, and the hard days when it would’ve been easier to stop and now it all comes down to this. The London Marathon is no small thing, but neither are you Luke you've already made your Mum proud but we wont be able to shut her up about this 🤣

When it gets tough out there, remember why you started and how far you’ve already come. Every step is proof of your strength, your determination, and your heart. The crowd will carry you, but it’s your grit that will get you to that finish line.

No matter the time, no matter the pace just finishing is an incredible achievement. Go out there and give it everything…for mum x

On this St George’s Day, we are incredibly proud to have played a part in such a meaningful and patriotic project.

Today was a powerful tribute to all veterans—past and present—and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. Their courage and legacy will never be forgotten.

It was an honour to sponsor a memorial bench as part of the Arnhem Oak Project, helping to create a lasting place of reflection and remembrance for generations to come.

The speakers were truly inspiring, the Red Devils put on an outstanding display, and the turnout from the community was nothing short of brilliant.

The Arnhem Oak Project continues to bring veterans, families, schools, and communities together—honouring sacrifice, inspiring young people, and strengthening Lincolnshire’s connection to its proud Airborne heritage.

Every contribution helps plant more trees, install memorial benches, support veterans, and build a legacy that will stand for years to come.

Another full refurbishment and remodel recently completed by SPA Construction Ltd.

This project involved a complete transformation of a 3-bedroom bungalow, reworking the layout to create a more modern, functional living space while maintaining a high-end finish throughout.

The existing attached garage was fully converted into a new ensuite, adding both space and practicality to the property. Alongside this, we constructed a new extension, designed to open up the living area and bring in plenty of natural light with electric roof lights fitted within the extension.

The heart of the home is the new kitchen, finished with stone worktops and LED lighting, flowing seamlessly into the extended living space. A log burner creates a warm focal point, while large openings lead out onto a spacious patio area, strengthening the connection between inside and out.

Internally, the property has been fully upgraded with new flooring throughout, Richmond doors, and brass ironmongery, giving a consistent and high-quality finish across every room.

Behind the scenes, the house has been completely modernised with a full rewire, a new pressurised plumbing system, and an upgraded heating system. A water softener has also been installed to improve system performance and longevity.

The bathrooms have all been refitted with new suites, continuing the clean, modern feel throughout the home.

A full top-to-bottom transformation, combining structural changes, modern systems, and attention to detail to deliver a home that’s both practical and built to last.
