In the 10 years I’ve worked in air conditioning in the UK I’ve never known a summer like this…
It’s not unusual for the summer to be very busy for AC engineers but with the third heatwave hitting the UK in such a short time, the level of demand is unprecedented.
Shops are selling out of fans, portable AC units are pretty much unavailable anywhere and now we’re seeing huge delays on stock arriving to fulfill deliveries for engineers to fit fixed AC too.
So if you’ve been constantly talking about whether it’s time to invest in AC in your home, let this be your sign that there’s no use waiting for the heatwave to arrive. Stock becomes more scarce and installers are busier than ever. If we could fulfil the demand we’re seeing at the moment, AC engineers would be working 24 hours a day!
Now is the time to get booked in! News outlets are increasingly reporting that warmer summers and more frequent heatwaves are due to keep coming our way.
