✨ LIVING THE DREAM ✨
Every now and then, I find myself pausing amidst the making, packing, planning, endless to-do lists, and constant pursuit of the next goal...
And I remember something important.
I am quite literally living in the dream that I wanted back in 2020 when I put pen to paper to create the plan for THE SCENTED BARN.
What started as a small business has grown into something I could never have imagined. Along the way, I’ve had to grow with it — learning new skills, making difficult decisions, overcoming setbacks, and navigating challenges I never expected. Going from a small business owner to a company director of a home fragrance brand still feels surreal to say.
When I look back, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. From humble beginnings at local craft fairs and markets to opening our first shop — a milestone that once felt impossible. We quickly outgrew that space, leading us to the beautiful high street shop I’d always dreamed of having.
We’ve also been honoured with some incredible recognition, including Best Lifestyle Store in Norfolk for two consecutive years and the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Award — achievements I never imagined when this journey began.
Sometimes I’m so focused on where we’re heading next that I forget to appreciate how far we’ve already come.
THE SCENTED BARN now sits proudly in homes across the UK.
That sentence alone was once the dream.
None of this would have been possible without you. Every order, recommendation, like, comment, message, and word of encouragement has played a part in this journey. And of course, my wonderful team, who keep everything running while I’m busy creating behind the scenes.
