We’re looking to bring an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist (5+ years) into our team at Trewin Design Architects.

We work on housing and planning-led schemes across the South West, and this role offers the chance to take on real responsibility, working directly with clients and leading projects.

We’re based in North Devon but offer flexible and hybrid working, and we’re open to people relocating to the area.

If this could be of interest, or you know someone who might be a good fit, please get in touch or feel free to share.

Gaia was designed to sit naturally within its coastal setting.

This short clip captures the thinking behind the concept and how the design responds to the landscape.

Not every building is meant to please everyone.

This is something I learnt early on as a student, and it has stayed with me throughout my career.

In this short clip, I reflect on that lesson and how it shapes the way we approach design today. It is about being clear in your thinking, having conviction, and creating buildings that resonate with the right people.

This project, Gaia at Widemouth Bay, is a good example of that approach. A contemporary coastal home designed to respond to its setting and perform in a demanding environment.

Have a watch and let me know your thoughts.
