Lots has been going on in the workshop this week! 🔨

We’ve just finished these lovely two-section windows, which are now off to be painted and glazed before being fitted next week.

These are made from pine (softwood) with a Sapele hardwood sill.

We always recommend the best materials for each individual job, whether that’s Sapele or Accoya, depending on the requirements and budget. However, we understand that budget can be a big consideration, so where cost is an issue, we’re always happy to offer a more affordable softwood option.

Our aim is to find the right timber and specification for your property, without compromising on the quality of our workmanship.

JOINER WANTED – WORKSHOP POSITION

Tallents Farm Joinery Ltd are looking for a joiner to join our workshop team.

We’re looking for someone with some experience in manufacturing timber windows and doors. Experience with traditional joinery, sash windows, casements and doors would be an advantage.

This is a hands-on workshop role, making bespoke timber windows and doors to a high standard.

Joiner / Joinery Workshop Assistant

Tallents Farm Joinery Ltd – Kimpton, Hertfordshire

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking joiner to join our small team in Kimpton.

We specialise in bespoke timber windows, doors and traditional joinery, working mainly with timber such as Accoya, hardwoods and softwood. Our work includes manufacturing and fitting windows and doors for both modern and period properties.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has joinery or woodworking experience
- Can use common woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail
- Is reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Can work both independently and as part of a small team
- Has a full UK driving licence would be an advantage
- Experience with timber windows and doors would be a bonus, but isn't essential

The role will involve:

- Workshop joinery and manufacturing
- Making timber windows and doors
- Preparing, sanding and finishing components
- General workshop duties
- Occasional site work and installation
- Working on bespoke and sometimes traditional joinery projects

We are a small, friendly business, so the role would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment rather than a large factory setting. There is plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your joinery skills.

Hours: Approximately 9:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Kimpton, Hertfordshire
Pay: Depending on experience and ability

A beautiful front door finished monday. Made from some beautiful . The stain on the inside is a heritage oak, giving the accoya a beautiful antique look. All ironmongery was supplied by they make some really beautiful pieces and made with care and quality in mind there ironmongery is second to non.
