🌿 A little something new is coming to Shanaghan Hill Farm…

Following the fantastic support we’ve received for our farm, our lamb and Lamb & Local, we’re taking the next step and opening the Shanaghan Hill Farm Pop-Up Farm Shop. 🐑

📅 Opening from Friday 11th September
🕘 Fridays | 9am–6pm
🕘 Saturdays | 9am–2pm

The shop will bring together food from our own farm alongside a carefully selected range of produce from other local makers.

🐑 Our own 100% grass-fed lamb
🥩 Individual frozen cuts – chops, roasts, mince & more
📦 Whole & half lamb boxes
🥕 Seasonal and locally produced food
☕ And a growing selection of products we think fit what Shanaghan Hill Farm is all about

Our aim is to keep it simple: natural • local • ethical • regenerative.

We want the shop to become another way of connecting people with where their food comes from, supporting local producers and making genuinely good local food easier to buy.

This is very much the beginning. We’ll be starting small, learning as we go and adding more local produce over the coming weeks.

Great to see the pleasure Mal gets from his quail. I'd never seen any quail up close before, really lovely birds. Pleasure to make a quail house for Mal, never done one before. Thanks for the business Mal 👍

Cinnabar Moth Caterpillar, never seen one before, the colours are really striking.

This morning these girls were in Kircubben, unfortunately they were living in a roof and the potential to damage the property. The property owner wants to put PVC fascia on and so they had to be moved. Now residing in BT26, hope they like it as they were very calm.

Can everyone have a look at the photo of the Asian hornets and report if seen to Northern Ireland Environment Agency, take photos of possible.

These bees were removed from a roof this last week. Council had informed the home owner that the bees would die out at the end of the summer. Unfortunately for the homeowner honey bees keep going all year round. This colony had been in place since last year and had grown quite big.

This colony of bees had taken up residence in a chimney. We managed to get them to move and they settled around the bins. I asked them nicely to get into the hive and off they went 😂
