New climbing rope day 🤩

We had some challenges with these 2 last week.

Tricky trees & treehouse dreams.

We tackled this Sycamore and Ash tree in 30+mph winds with a summerhouse to avoid. The mission was to reduce them to a standing stem while meeting 4 criteria’s.

1. Protect the river bank wall
2. Leave standing stem for future tree house
3. Standing stem would also provide habitat for local wildlife and bugs
4. All wood to stay on site so customer can reuse in garden or as firewood

Thanks to some careful rigging from our amazing Lumber Graeme who handled the wind and everything I cut down perfectly, we got the job done safely.

Another successful job completed!

Well done Leon Foster for felling his 4th stem perfectly 🤩

Recently tackling these 3 tree removals. We safely dismantled 3 trees to ground level. We battled the downpour of rain and carefully lowering the branches in the crazy wind.

The customer requested to keep the timber, so we stacked the logs neatly on site.

As always, we pride ourselves on leaving every job spotless. Taking the branches & sawdust for composting. Leaving the garden looking lighter and tidy.

Nice little reduction to keep this one from getting away.
Maintenance is part of keeping trees under control and preventing them from becoming unruly and out of control before they get away from you. It also helps to keep the trees in good health and we check for any issues which could be starting and also to promote good shape and correct cutting patterns throughout the reduction when we do these. Cutting correctly by professionals in the correct places and ways ensures the minimal chance for disease being able to get into the tree at cut points and stress growth from happening to incorrect or badly made cuts.
Cutting and removing a branch or limb in the correct place can reduce the shock and speed of growth around the cut as the tree tries to repair itself. A reduction done properly will reduce the stress, chance of disease and increase the life of your trees.
