Here is a large stepped patio and walkway created recently with Steven Elliott using stone grey Indian sandstone and grouted with a basalt colour grout. Retaining walls and steps built in dry stone effect using customers reclaimed walling stone. Compacted subbase, fully primed flagstones and a full contact bed of cement mortar to give this customer a lovely new long lasting space to enjoy in there garden 🌞 unfortunately the weather on the last day slight effected the pristine clean finish before these photos were taken. Customer is going to do the levelling off and building up of the garden and boarders themselves with topsoil.

Heres one completed recently with Steven Elliott old rotten sleeper wall removed and replaced with a solid stone faced wall with recessed pointing and concrete blocks in behind also the correct drainage in and through the wall the way a retaining wall should be built 💪 old timber fences and gates removed along with dwarf brick wall and replaced with new composite gates and fencing all to help towards a maintenance free garden no more painting timber every year for this customer and a solid retaining wall to give them peace of mind no more sinking sleeper walls. project completed last year with Steven Elliott. Stone roof stripped off, leaning front wall taken down to the ground, new drains dug in, new insulated concrete floor installed, rebuild up the stonewalls and replace damaged lintels then roof reinstated using reclaimed slate and cast guttering to match surrounding area and finally repoint the whole building using lime mortar. Old reclaimed stone flags used to create small patio/gravel area outside the door with aco drain to help with ground levels and damp. Then large flagged area to the back with a concrete base ready for an outdoor pool. Doors and windows made and fitted by Richard James Joinery@

Brick extension and knock through completed recently with Steven Elliott. This will make a great addition to this customers home giving them a new kitchen and open plan dining area (internal work still ongoing).

Lovely little patio completed with Steven Elliott for a customer to renew and extend there old tired patio using raj blend indian sand stone and new brick retaining walls. Ready for the customer to level off the top of the garden

2 full houses repointed in lime mortar earlier this year by myself and Steven Elliott. The second house on the photos was taken on after the customer paid out money to someone who hadnt hacked out to a correct depth and started repoint it using the incorrect mortar. So we started again hacked it out to the right depth and repointed in with a hydraulic lime mortar. Lots of jobs we see have been incorrectly repointed using a mix of cement and hydrated lime when old stone buildings like these shouldnt have any cement in the mortar, always make sure you have someone who knows what there doing when getting lime work done.
