📢 D2U ALTERNATORS – CONTACT, ORDERS & CUSTOMER SUPPORT
We wanted to put a quick post together to explain a little more about how D2U operates, how best to contact us, and what you can expect when ordering from us.
D2U Alternators is a small specialist business that we operate alongside our full-time employment.
Because of this, our workshop and phone line are not continuously staffed during normal weekday working hours.
📞 CONTACTING US
We answer calls whenever we're able to, but there will be times during the working week when we simply cannot answer.
If you've tried calling and haven't received an answer, please don't assume you're being ignored.
We may simply be at work and unable to take the call at that time.
For existing orders, the best way to contact us is by your original order communication line or email [email protected]. Please include your full name and order details so we can locate everything and respond properly.
We will always try to respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
⚙️ BUILD TIMES
The majority of our high-output alternators are specialist products that are built, converted or remanufactured to order. They aren't simply taken from a shelf and dispatched, Hense the unusually long lead times.
Our current estimated lead times are provided when ordering and we ask customers to take these into consideration before placing an order.
We completely understand that waiting for an order can be frustrating, particularly when you're excited to finish a build or have an upcoming show or event.
We will always do our best to complete orders as quickly as possible, but we won't rush specialist builds at the expense of the quality and testing expected from us.
If you need an alternator for a particular date, event or show, please contact us before ordering so we can tell you whether that date is realistically achievable.
🤝 IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
We're human, and occasionally things can go wrong.
If we've made a mistake, please give us the opportunity to investigate it and put it right.
We understand that delays, problems with an order or difficulty getting hold of us can be frustrating.
Genuine complaints and constructive criticism are absolutely fine, and where we've made a mistake, we'll take responsibility for it and do our best to resolve the situation fairly.
We'd always much rather have the opportunity to speak to a customer and resolve an issue than have somebody sitting at home unhappy with their experience.
❤️ A LITTLE RESPECT GOES BOTH WAYS
While we completely understand that customers can become frustrated, we do ask that communication remains respectful.
We will not tolerate abusive or threatening messages, harassment, personal attacks, or comments and allegations concerning ourselves, our families or our private lives.
These things have no place in resolving a customer order.
Criticism of D2U, our service or an order will always be taken seriously. We simply ask that it remains about the business and the issue at hand.
Where communication becomes abusive or personal, we reserve the right to require any further communication to be made in writing through our official contact channels.
Making a complaint will, of course, never affect your statutory consumer rights or warranty entitlement.
Finally, we'd like to say a genuine thank you to everyone who has supported D2U over the years.
We're a small specialist business, not a large company with a call centre and a team of staff behind the scenes. We appreciate every order we receive and every person who recommends us.
We know there are areas where we can improve, particularly communication during longer build times, and we're working to improve that.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. ❤️
