🌍 What a busy start to 2026 for us at EMS! During 2026 so far we have already recently completed and reported on one of our largest ever survey projects at a site in Slough, welcomed two new members to the team, and were proud to be named Employer of the Year at the Herefordshire Apprenticeship Awards — alongside many other achievements. We think its time for some well earned rest and chocolate eggs!

🌍 EMS are really proud to be continuing our support of the The Lighthouse Charity as Company Supporters for a fourth year running.

👷 Over the past few years, we have seen just how important the work they do is providing vital emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families when they need it most.

As a business, people have always been at the heart of what we do.
We will continue to champion the Lighthouse Charity, raise awareness of the support available, and do our bit to support the wellbeing of those across our sector.

🌍 Meet the Team! 💧 4️⃣ Ethan – Water Technician/Engineer
Ethan keeps domestic and private client hot and cold-water systems safe and compliant. His field-based role allows him to travel across the UK, seeing new places while ensuring high standards.
Outside work Ethan loves travelling, exploring, and cheering on Chelsea FC.

🌍 Meet the Team! 💧3️⃣ Lauren – Operations & Project Coordinator
Lauren is the front line of our Water Department, managing day-to-day operations, client enquiries, invoicing, and project coordination. She thrives on variety and enjoys regular interaction with our clients.
Outside work Lauren loves coffee dates, archery (county-level!), and adventures in her VW Campervan.

🌍 Meet the Team! 2️⃣ Matthew Lodge – Water Hygiene & Legionella Technician
Matthew ensures water safety procedures are followed, from temperature monitoring to full system disinfection. He’s currently training as a legionella risk assessor and loves the variety his role brings, along with travelling to sites across the UK.
Outside work Matthew loves building Warhammer models and playing trading card games.

Jason leads our Legionella Department and is the go-to for clients needing guidance on water safety compliance. He splits his time between office-based consultancy and site visits, supporting engineers and coordinators.
He loves working with our talented team and focuses on maintaining high standards while embracing new technology.
Outside work Jason enjoys family, DIY projects, and staying active

We are delighted to share some wonderful news from last night! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that we were awarded ⭐ Small Business Employer of the Year Award ⭐ and we so were honoured to be recognised at the first-ever Herefordshire Apprenticeship Awards. The awards, hosted by Herefordshire Growth Hub as part of National Apprenticeship Week were a fabulous celebration held at The Yard, Hereford.

It was fantastic to be part of such a positive celebration of skills, opportunity and local talent in Herefordshire alongside other employers, apprentices & training providers.

It was especially great to take our two Level 3 Business Admin apprentices Morgan & Olivia , alongside our Marketing Manager Lucy Harris, to celebrate and collect the award together. Seeing our apprentices recognised for their hard work and commitment made the night even more special.

Huge thanks to Herefordshire Growth Hub, the awards team and everyone involved for putting on such a brilliant first event — we’re already looking forward to next year! 🎉

Thank you also to our training provider Riverside Training for all your help along the way too.

🎉 Awards night! 🌟

Tonight, EMS will be attending the Herefordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026, where we’re finalists for Apprentice Employer of the Year in the Small (10–49 employees) category.

No matter the outcome, we will be very proud to stand alongside organisations, mentors and apprentices who are helping to build a skilled, future-ready workforce in Herefordshire.

⏳ Counting down to the Herefordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026 🌟

In just a few days, the EMS team, including some of our apprentices, will be attending the awards ceremony during National Apprenticeship Week, where we’re finalists for Apprentice Employer of the Year.

We are so proud of the opportunities we provide for apprentices to learn, grow, and contribute and grateful to our team for the support and mentorship that makes this possible.

Good luck to all our other the finalists- we’re looking forward to a great evening celebrating apprenticeship success across the county.
