Are you able to help us?

Over the half term week we are hoping to get lots of jobs done on site including upgrading the gents toilet cubicles, painting,decorating,ground works etc

There is something to help with for everyone no matter your skill or experience level, whether you can spare an hour or the whole week!

No campers today but we do have a christening party on site but we took advantage of a quieter site to get some clearing up jobs done

Also we have started installing the rubbing trail posts that should be in place for the BIGG birthday bash

We have some exciting news to share, we have put down our deposit for a new accessible toilet/shower block!

We have been wanting to carry out this improvement for a long time and now we are much closer to making it happen!

We still have a bit more money to raise as we need quite a lot of ground works carrying out as well but we are hoping by next season they will be up and running

We have lots of BIGG plans for this Autumn to make improvements to the campsite including an upgrade to the gents bathrooms, a new accessible toilet block and a refurb to the kitchen

We are just a little short on our target to enable us to complete these works

Just a reminder of the ongoing fire restrictions at Boyd

Unfortunately we still have a blanket ban on fires and naked flames due to the ongoing drought conditions and hosepipe ban which is likely to continue well into September with no significant rain in the forecast

This does include cooking over fire and fire lighting activities
We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause but we thank you for helping to keep our campsite safe

Wow sorry for being quieter on here lately but July has been another manic month!

Today we said goodbye to the last of the groups that have been with us all week all baking in the sunshine with lots and lots of activities! Thank you so much for visiting Boyd

We will be a lot quieter in August as our fantastic volunteers take more of a break (or are on Scout camp)

From Monday we hand our site over to our regular booking Tokonatsu for their festival, if you haven’t been before have a look at their page and see what it’s all about

Thank you again to everyone that’s helped over the last few weeks and another bigg thank you to Henlow Events for their kind donation that we put towards our new shed that has been finished off this morning, this will make so much difference although adds a few more jobs to the list!
