Part time Bookkeeper/Finance Administrator

We are a well established roofing company and are looking for somebody to join our friendly team. You will fulfil a busy varied role primarily focusing on the finance elements of the business.

Duties will include raising invoices for clients, checking and allocating payments and chasing any overdue invoices. You will review and approve supplier invoices, reconcile them monthly and pay suppliers in accordance with agreed timescales. You will reconcile the bank account, monitor cashflow and approve VAT and CIS payments.

Managing timesheets and preparing weekly payroll information as well as maintaining records of payroll and staff files is also part of your role. You will also identify areas where we can make cost savings and liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms. Ensuring insurances are all in place and monitoring records for our fleet including booking repairs and maintenance plus car tax renewals.

No two days are the same and you will need to be a flexible self starter who’s happy to turn your hand to whatever is needed in the business.

You will be available to work approx 3 to 4 hours daily at our office based just outside Sonning Common/Henley on Thames. This role is office based and is not suited to remote working. Whilst we are flexible on the time of day this is not term time only.

You will need a minimum of 2 years prior bookkeeping experience so that you can hit the ground running. Prior experience using Xero is preferred but if you’re computer literate this is not essential. As our office is not on a public transport route it would be best suited to a car owner/driver.

All staff work on a self employed basis so this is not a PAYE role.
