1. Excavation & Ground Prep
• Full dig-out of the existing surface
• Removal of all spoil and waste from site
2. Base Construction for Waterproofed Terrace
• Fresh bitumen waterproofing layer applied
• First membrane installed
• 100mm insulation boards fitted for thermal control
• Second membrane layer to fully encapsulate insulation
• Entire area finished with a waterproof screed system, ready to take porcelain
3. Final Installation
• Porcelain tiles installed with exterior flexible adhesive
• Diamond layout set out from laser control points (no cuts wasted, no drift in pattern)
• All falls set to ensure surface drainage away from building
• Joints finished using high-performance exterior grout

3. Main Patio Installation
• Laid large-format grey porcelain slabs with a natural stone effect

4. Feature Pattern Section
• Decorative black & white Victorian-style patterned porcelain tiles

This was no small job – this was a full-scale ground-up transformation.

🔹 GROUNDWORK & PREPARATION
• A massive 200 tonnes of earth and waste excavated and removed from site.
• All services prepared in advance – electrical runs and pipework installed and protected before the final finish.
• Two reinforced concrete bases installed for future outdoor annex + gym, perfectly level and ready for structural build.

🔹 SUB-BASE & INSTALLATION
• Over 220 tonnes of Type 1, concrete and specialist resin-bound materials brought in, levelled, compacted, and installed.
• Precision work throughout, including full drainage planning and smooth gradients to perfection.

🔹 RESIN FINISH – 380m²
• Seamless, clean, high-end resin surface across the full area.
• Decorative in-lay walkway and bespoke resin chessboard feature – a real conversation piece the moment you step in.
• Flawless finish: no trowel marks, no patching, zero imperfections.

🔹 FENCING & PERIMETER
• Full boundary upgrade:
✅ Metal fencing installed on the entire left and rear boundary.
✅ Timber fencing installed down the right side to soften the look and add warmth.
• Every line laser-straight, finished caps, and posts concreted to last decades.
