⚡ I Love Fault-finding jobs

Called out because a steam shower was intermittently stopping working.

I tested the circuit and everything inside the property appeared to be fine, but something didn't seem right.

Further testing found the Ze was too high at 1.26Ω on the TN-S supply.

I contacted UK Power Networks, who attended and found a fault with the supply outside the property,

The road was dug up and the fault repaired.

After the repair, the Ze reading dropped to 0.35Ω.

The high impedance was affecting the supply voltage and causing the shower to stop intermittently.

Sometimes the fault isn't inside the property! ⚡🔧

Ongoing Job today
Limited on space, so we had to get creative with the ducting. The ducting was installed flat and neatly concealed within the floor space to keep everything tidy and discreet.
We also removed a brick to install a proper external ventilation grille, providing a suitable route for the extracted air.
Another neat, practical installation by RS Electrical Services.

£170 worth of quality alarms going to be installed — optical smoke, heat, carbon monoxide and multi-sensor alarms.

But you can’t put a price on people’s lives.
I have 2 kid my self, that’s why I choose quality over cheap in everything I do.
