PAINTING COMPLETE 🎨 ✅

Had the pleasure of painting the rendering work which we completed last week for a big project completed over in Helston 🏠

What was assumed to just be a flow of cracking in the render was just the start... This job ended up being a full hack off and restructure to these exterior walls!

Happy to have taken on this job & glad the clients are over the moon with the transformation! A lot of noise, rubble, time, effort and perseverance to get this complete but it was all worth it in the end!

Day & night difference! 💪

Cracking couple of days for a wonderful client in Porthleven 🏠

There are currently undergoing some minor renovations and needed my expertise to modernise their ceilings 😁

1 Large living room ceiling which was artex on chipboard and had centre & corner ceiling roses as well. Due to a leak the ceiling was bowed and needed to be taken down anyways. New plasterboard ceiling & and a fresh skim over. With the amazing help of Trethowan Plastering of course 💪

The other ceiling was just a small en-suite ceiling. With new lights being fitted it was a no brainer to get this ceiling done 🙌

Another job done & another satisfied customer ✅

MASSIVE RENDERING PROJECT COMPLETE✅

This job had plenty of surprises.. Initially I was contacted by this client in Helston, a returning customer in fact which is always a nice feeling!

The job was just to remove one section of render and re render both top halves due to deep cracking and severely blown areas. It wasn’t until we started removing the render did we release that this was not only a timber frame extension but it was rendered with mesh with no proper backing. Mesh that did not meet standards, poor quality & was structurally unstable. The soffits on one side were cracked.

We did not panic & decided to do it the correct way. Rip it all off entirely, fix new supporting noggins & fix new insulated, weatherproof & heat resistant cement board. All the correct prepwork carried out on this side & the otherside💪

Finished with 2 coats of cement & lime render to help with durability, workability & the end finish. New soffits installed on the backside also 🙌

The customers are over the moon & can now live peacefully without thinking the walls are going to fall off! 😁

Can’t wait to get it painted next week also so stay tuned! 🎨

Shout out to Trethowan Plastering for al the couple days help too 💪

Quick Sunday Session Complete for a lovely local contractor David Renyard Porthleven Handyman 🙌

He’s carrying out renovations throughout this property in Porthleven & needed my expertise to flatten off & get this ceiling looking brand new 😁

After popping round and looking at this ceiling in person it was pretty bowed due to the old nails pulling away and not worth the risk of Overskimming. He got it boarded in quick succession & I followed through flattening it off with backing plaster & a couple coats of skim 💪

All looking flat, smooth & polished. Now ready for David to come back and tile / restore the rest of the bathroom!

Some may call it idiocy, I call it perseverance! Although the weather app said it’d be sunny spells, I was hit with 3 spells of torrential rain on this job😩😅

Arrived 8:45am, finished… 9:00pm😬

Nonetheless, got this rendering job completed for a wonderful couple in Mullion today. 🏠

The 2 pillars were knackered & needed some TLC! some fresh PVC beads, primer and a thin coat of sand, cement render - float & sponge finish✅

You know it’s been a long day when not only is the pictures in pitch black but also the customer asking you if you want dinner 🥘🤣🙌

Lovely to see both chimneys & gable ends all painted 🎨 (Before Pics at End)

We recently restored and rendered the chimneys & gables (last week). With decent weather over the weekend the lads over Beavis Construction LTD did a top job painting the render👌

Looks absolutely spot on & the clients are over the moon with the entire job✅

Nice little Friday skimming job carried out today in Redruth, an even better bonus was walking distance from home! ✅ 🏠

A bit of TLC & making good / blending in on these areas on the stairs & landing. The customers were going to attempt to DIY the walls but decided to get in touch, knowing it would be a more professional outcome 😁

Always happy to help customers in need and squeeze this one in for them & they can finally get the place decorated! 🎨

Nice little patch up completed today for another returning client over in Penryn 🏠 No job is EVER too small for us at TW Plaster & Rendering 💪

Always nice to carry out additional work for returning clients, these guys are going to be putting their property up on the market soon and needed my expertise to carry out some skimming work and giving some areas some TLC🙌

Both the left side window wall & settee wall were damp & showing a lot of blown plaster, some caused by a leaking pipe which has since been resolved.

Hacking off the old blown areas, tanking solution applied, foiled back plasterboard for additional protection and a fresh skim & blend in✅

Another job done & another satisfied customer 😁

Cracking few days rendering 2 Gable ends & 2 Chimneys 🙌

Always a pleasure carrying out rendering work for local contractors, especially Beavis Construction LTD 🧱

Both the gables and chimneys were knackered and needed some TLC, not only for aesthetics but for additional protection.

Prepwork, beading, scratch coating & top coating all complete in just 3 days. Couldn’t of hit this timeframe without the massive help from Trethowan Plastering as well 🙏

Looking day & night difference now, all flat, smooth, decorative additions and fully waterproof for when the wet weather comes in 🌧️
