Another fencing job completed, with three separate elements bringing everything together 👌

🔨 A run of new 6ft fence panels
🔨 Another run of 6ft panels, incorporating a pair of gates we originally installed for the customer 2 years ago, which have now been repurposed in a different location
🔨 A run of metal fencing, handmade by the customer’s son, finished off with a picket gate installed by us

A great mix of new fencing and existing features, all tied together to create a smart, practical and secure boundary.

Another little fencing job complete removing a low wall and replacing it with a 6ft closeboard fence with top cap. We also replaced a very tired old drain cover and laid an Indian sandstone slab to the top of the brick pillar at the end. This was left to protect the end fence post as this separates two drives so can be susceptible to knocks!

From a w**d filled, moss covered old fashioned rockery to a sleek, fresh, modern stepped and tiered oak sleeper bed.

Pretty much all the old plants, shrubs and w**ds came out giving the customers a clean slate to plant up with whatever they want.

This job didn’t come without its struggles, once the rockery was taken apart, under the thin layer of soil was concrete with thin metal wire running through it, this made digging the holes for the posts a real challenge, but with time and great effort we ensured that they all went in with sufficient depth to support the weight of the sleepers and ground behind them. With the additional soil put into the beds will give sufficient soil for any new plants to grow.

What a transformation completed over the weekend! 🙌

This typical new-build garden had a small, poorly laid patio, an uneven clay-filled lawn, and very little usable outdoor space. We stripped everything back and started with a blank canvas to completely re-landscape the garden.

We installed approximately 36m² of beautiful Stone Saver Kandla Grey 600x900 porcelain paving, laid with staggered joints and finished with Azpects Ltd EasyGrout in Graffito to create a stunning, practical patio area.

To ensure excellent drainage without compromising the finish, we installed a hidden recessed ACO drain running alongside the patio, topped with Black Ice/Panda Stones, which feeds into a French drain we also installed.

The lawn area was then built up using blended topsoil to bring it flush with the new patio before being finished with premium CB Winters turf, creating a level, lush lawn ready to enjoy.

A big thank you to Parker Building Supplies for supplying all the aggregates and materials, and to PJ Waste Management for providing the skip to remove all the waste.

Another garden transformed and another happy customer! 👌

First post like this for me, but I love giving credit to lovely human beings when it’s due, and in this heat as a landscaper who works on their own, it’s been a hard, hot, sweaty, tiring week. However, there are some amazing customers out there that appreciate we might “only be tradesmen” however we are also human beings.

Big shoutout to all the customers who make an effort to look after the trades when working at their homes, and to the tradies for persevering and continuing in this heatwave, so many people wouldn’t be able to do what we do!! 💪🏼

Another landscaping job that has been done in 3 phases since the start of the year in Heathfield. We started in February by planting circa 250 hedge plants all with rabbit guards and canes, as well as 6 fruit trees, 3 established and 3 younger plants. We then returned in late April to spread 15 cubic meters of premium compost and grass seed, install a metal edging to the circa 75m worth of paths, lay a w**d membrane, MOT sub-base and 10mm shingle. Then returned again recently to put a timber edge in and MOT sub-base for a field shelter, a timber surround, MOT sub-base and decorative flamenco stone for a seating area, fire pit area and greenhouse base.
It was so amazing to return and see how well the grass seed had taken, despite a few small patches which with a small over-seed and regular cutting will fill in in no time.

Another very happy customer on this job who is also asking for more time to be booked in soon to carry out some further work!

We recently completed this full patio replacement taking up the variety of crazy paving and concrete slabs for the beautiful Indian sandstone, re constructing the steps and creating new wider sleeper steps to access the top area out of oak sleepers. It has transformed the outdoor space for our customers and given them a much safer, usable outdoor space with a classic yet more modern finish. We hope that they will be able to make great use of this space as we move into summer!
