Boiler Upgrade Scheme Grant Increase for Small Businesses
There is great news for small businesses looking to reduce energy costs and switch to low-carbon heating.
From 21 July 2026, eligible businesses in England and Wales operating from off-gas grid properties heated by oil or LPG may be able to access an increased £9,000 grant towards the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
Up to £9,000 funding available for eligible off-grid oil and LPG-heated properties.
Funding available from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027.
0% VAT on qualifying heat pump installations.
Potential for lower energy costs and reduced carbon emissions.
Businesses using other heating systems, including mains gas, direct electric heating, or coal, may still be eligible for grants of up to £7,500, depending on the technology being installed.
This grant uplift is designed to support rural and off-grid organisations that are most exposed to fluctuating fossil fuel prices, helping them transition to cleaner, more energy-efficient heating solutions.
If you're considering upgrading your heating system, now could be the perfect time to explore the funding available and the long-term benefits for your business.
Our team can help assess your eligibility, recommend suitable solutions, and guide you through the grant application process.
