A recent drainage investigation 🔎💧

Back in the winter, we were called to a private property to investigate rainwater entering the foul sewage system.

Using specialist drain dye, we were able to trace the flow of water and identify where the systems were incorrectly connected.

Drain dye is a simple but highly effective diagnostic tool and can be used for a variety of drainage investigations, including identifying where drains run, tracing connections and locating potential cross-connections or infiltration points.

We were called to a commercial property to investigate reports of poor drainage and strong odours. On arrival, an initial inspection identified the upstream inspection chamber surcharged and holding at a high level, indicating a blockage within the line.

The obstruction was removed using our high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) equipment, restoring full flow through the drainage system. The pipeline and inspection chamber were then thoroughly flushed and washed down to remove any remaining debris, leaving the system operating as intended.

We were called to investigate a sudden increase in water usage from a water main that feeds a field trough. On arrival we found a wet area so started to carefully excavate. We eventually came across this questionable connection which had cracked causing a leak. We removed the culprit, installed a new connection and restored water supply preventing any more water loss.

A recent project completed for a local client.

We rebuilt this sleeper retaining wall after the existing sleepers had reached the end of their service life. The new wall provides a strong, durable, and long-lasting solution while enhancing the overall appearance of the garden.

A quick job recently completed.

We attended site to replace a marker post that had been damaged by a delivery vehicle. The new post was installed complete with replacement reflectors, leaving the area safe and fully restored.

A recent project completed in collaboration with a local builder, involving the excavation of foundations for an extension and the installation of a soakaway crate system.

We’ll be returning next week to re-route additional drainage and connect the stormwater pipework into the new soakaway system.
