Taking a mindful break in beautiful Assos, Kefalonia 🌿

Slowing down, soaking up the views and—ever the gardener—noticing the plants around me.

Plant photos in order - Cape Leadwort, Queen Anne’s Lace or Wild Carrot, Bougainvillea, Sea Squill (love this one!), Lantana and Wild Samphire - there’s so much beauty in this Mediterranean landscape. ☀️

It’s got me thinking about our increasingly dry Summers back home, and what we might learn from the plants which can survive naturally in the wild areas over here.

Did you know that Wild Samphire and the leaves of the Wild Carrot when harvested in Spring are edible - just another lovely thing to bear in mind when planning a garden.
