Had this bench for ages, been sat outside in the English weather for about 12 years. It was unloved and was stuck in a corner of the garden not used and forgotten about.
It was taken back to the workshop for its transformation, the cast iron legs have been cleaned, painted in Little Greene Jewelled Bettle , new bolts fitted to the hinged seat, the new timber is absolutely stunning English Pippy Oak sourced from James and Ray who have some gorgeous spalted beech in at the moment.
The oak has been finished with 3 coats of fiddes, exterior oil , and here it is finished.
Love the amazing colour on the oak, air dried for about 3 years, and some of the best timber that I've ever had from a small rural timber yard.
