Our Duchy Day Room has gained planning permission 11 days early!

commented that the proposal in Harrogate Conservation Area "provides a well-considered modern design solution, which we find highly commendable."

The fibre cement clad extension replaces a leaky uPVC framed conservatory, and provides living space that opens to a new raised terrace that steps down to the vast garden beyond.

We cannot wait to work with my lovely clients to bring these images to life!

The realisation of great project needs a good relationship between architect and client. Communication is key for an architect to be able to respond to a clients needs and desires.

An outstanding project needs that communication to continue with the chosen contractor. And for the contractor to fully understand the importance of minute detail to bring a project from good to exceptional.

I have been so lucky to work with wonderful clients at Modern Pavilion, who trusted me with their home. With and on board, we have created something truly special.

Reaching for the sky!
The Siberian larch cladding boards are being installed on our modern pavilion extension. Almost tempted to ask to not cut them down to size!

I was lucky enough to attend the dress rehearsal of the beautiful, thought provoking and shocking production of Nest in the incredible setting of the former open cast mine returned to nature St Aidens.
Young people giving a very real warning of the effect of climate change on our wildlife and bird stock. Incredible

Planning has been granted for our project in Harrogate Conservation Area!
The house currently turns its back on the beautiful garden. To provide connection between the two we have lowered the floor of the rear of the house to garden level, and created a large open plan living kitchen to the rear with additional living/sleeping spaces to the boundary, creating a courtyard.
The main house has been completely reconfigured with a 2 storey extension mirroring the existing gable to provide an extra bedroom for a growing family.
Really excited about working with my lovely clients to make this a reality!
