Could green be the new bathroom neutral?
There’s something about a deep green that works particularly well on traditional bathroom furniture.
Our Amy vanity in Mallard Green is bold enough to give the room character, but muted enough that it doesn't overpower everything around it.
And that's one of the things we consider when choosing colours for bathroom furniture.
A good furniture colour shouldn't only look beautiful on a paint swatch. It needs to work across a much larger surface and complement worktops, flooring, tiles and hardware.
Mallard Green manages to make a statement without shouting.

There’s a reason dark bathroom furniture works so beautifully against a lighter worktop.
Daniel chose our traditional Hope Vanity Unit in Inkwell, contrasting the deep cabinetry with Carrera White, an undermounted ceramic basin and chrome details.
The result is a vanity with plenty of presence, without making the design feel heavy.
We particularly like the combination of traditional furniture details with the simplicity of the worktop and basin.
And, of course, good bathroom furniture needs to work just as well as it looks — with a soft-close drawer and useful cupboard storage hidden behind the doors.

Would you be brave enough to bring this much colour into your bathroom?
Our Amy vanity in London Bus No. 217 shows just how much personality a single piece of bathroom furniture can bring to a room.
The deep red finish, traditional drawer detailing and warm brass handles create a look that feels bold without losing its elegance.
We think bathrooms have spent long enough being dominated by white, grey and beige.
Colour is coming back — and we're very happy about it.

One of our favourite parts of making bespoke bathroom furniture is seeing the finished room.

Denise chose this beautiful three-drawer vanity unit, combining generous bathroom storage with a simple furniture-style design.

What really works for us is the proportion.

There’s plenty of useful storage, but the vanity doesn’t overpower the space. The soft green finish works beautifully with the tiles and natural light, giving the whole bathroom a wonderfully calm feel.

It’s a good example of why choosing a bathroom vanity unit is about much more than simply finding one that fits the available width.

Proportion, storage, colour and the space around the furniture all matter.

One of the things we love most about making bespoke bathroom furniture is seeing how differently every customer puts their bathroom together.

Helen chose a beautiful walnut finish for her vanity unit, paired with a Carrera white worktop and an Estee gloss undercounter basin. She supplied her own taps and handles, and we made bespoke mirrors in the same walnut finish to complete the room.

That's the advantage of a made-to-measure bathroom vanity unit.

Rather than designing your bathroom around a piece of standard furniture, the furniture can be designed around you.

Size, basin, worktop, finish, handles, storage — they're all decisions that can completely change the finished room.
