Brush lining is an effective way to rehabilitate existing pipework without the need for full replacement.

At Evesham House in London, our engineers began remedial works to a rainwater downpipe, using specialist equipment to prepare the pipework for lining.

Working with a second engineer, the team established a safe working area before mechanically cleaning the pipework using specialist Picote equipment. CCTV was then used to inspect the downpipe and confirm its condition ahead of the lining works.

Once prepared, our engineers set up the brush lining equipment and applied the first coat of epoxy resin to the existing pipework as part of the rehabilitation process.

Photographs and CCTV records were captured throughout the works, with the site left safe and tidy at the end of the day.

Our team attended Parsifal House in NW3 to investigate a blocked drainage system requiring further clearance and inspection.

Using a vacuum tanker and high-pressure water jetting equipment, our experienced operatives worked downstream from the existing manhole to clear the affected pipework and remove obstructions.

The tanker removed standing water, silt and debris, providing better access for further investigation. An obstruction at the front of the property was also cleared, allowing CCTV equipment to access the downstream pipework.

CCTV inspection was then carried out to assess the condition of the pipework and investigate the cause of the blockage.

Combining specialist equipment with CCTV inspection allows us to investigate drainage issues thoroughly and identify the right solution.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or similar construction role, with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills and a good understanding of health and safety requirements.

The role includes a company car, laptop and mobile phone, pension and 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

Paving can gradually deteriorate without always being obvious at first.

You can’t always see a drainage problem until it’s too late.

As part of planned maintenance at Sutton House, our team found significant scale and build-up inside the pipework serving the urinals. From the outside, everything can appear to be working normally, but inside, deposits can gradually restrict flow and lead to blockages.

The before and after images show just how much can build up inside the pipework - and the difference specialist cleaning can make. Our team removed the build-up, cleaned the pipework and restored the system to full working order.

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Contract Manager to join our growing team at First Choice Drainage Solutions.

This is a key role responsible for managing new and existing contracts, building strong client relationships, monitoring performance and ensuring KPIs and service expectations are consistently achieved.

We’re looking for someone with experience in contract or commercial management, strong communication skills and a proactive, commercially minded approach. You’ll work closely with our operations, finance, sales and management teams to support the successful delivery and ongoing development of our contracts.

Our team recently attended The Foundry in Hitchin to carry out specialist pump replacement works.

Using a tanker, we first emptied the pit completely to allow the existing pumps to be safely removed. Both faulty pumps were then replaced, with new guide rails installed and a GSM Buddy monitoring system set up.

Once the installation was complete, all works were fully tested to ensure the system was operating as it should.

From pump breakdowns and replacements to ongoing servicing and maintenance, our experienced team can provide complete pump support.
