Saturday inspections 🤝

We don’t always come out on a Saturday. But when it works for us and our client, we book them in ✅

Does help when it’s local 😁

Today director Tommy was out in Bishopsfield, surveying a full reroof. Previous contractors have repaired(bodged) this roof up good. The client has decided they want to go with a new installation 📣

Our report will be out today. And we will have our package proposal sent over beginning of next week 🔥

Choose Ascend Roofing, here to level up your property 🚀

There’s something quite nice about working locally and driving past roofs you’ve worked on.

You remember the houses.
You remember the customers.

And quite often, one job leads to another because somebody next door asks who did it, or your name gets mentioned in a local group months later.

That side of running Ascend Roofing matters to us.
We’re not interested in flying into an area, doing a job and disappearing.

We want someone we worked for two years ago to still feel comfortable recommending our name today.

That probably explains why we’re quite particular about the little things – communication, keeping people updated, leaving things tidy and doing what we said we were going to do.

The roof obviously has to be right.
But the experience people have with us matters too.
That’s the kind of local business we’re trying to build.

We’ve got space for a handful of local roof inspections over the next couple of weeks.

These are particularly for anyone who already knows something isn’t quite right.

Maybe you’ve noticed:

– a leak when it rains
– a slipped or broken tile
– damp appearing upstairs
– an issue around your chimney
– guttering that keeps overflowing
– or something on the roof that simply doesn’t look right

You don’t need to know what the problem is before contacting a roofer.

That’s our job.

We’ll take a proper look, explain what we find and tell you what your options are – whether that’s a straightforward repair or something that needs a little more attention.

We cover Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Bishop’s Stortford and surrounding areas.

This is exactly why we don’t like guessing with leaks.

A homeowner called us after noticing water coming in and understandably thought they were looking at a much bigger roofing job.

From ground level, it would have been very easy to assume where the problem was.

Once we got up there and properly checked it, the actual cause was far more localised.

We identified the problem, repaired the affected area and got the roof watertight again – without turning it into a bigger job than it needed to be.

That’s always the result we want.

Not the biggest job we can sell someone.

The right repair for the problem they actually have.

If you like seeing the reality behind roofing jobs rather than just finished roof photos, keep an eye on our page – we’ll share more like this.

The bit of your roof you can SEE isn’t always the bit causing the problem.

That’s probably one of the biggest misconceptions we come across.

A damp patch appears near a chimney, so naturally you assume the chimney is leaking.

A tile looks out of place, so you assume replacing that tile will sort it.

But water can travel.

Where it eventually appears inside your home can be quite a distance from where it originally got in.

That’s why we’d always rather properly find the cause before recommending the repair.

Because the aim isn’t just to make the obvious problem disappear for a few weeks.

It’s to fix what’s actually causing it.

Something worth remembering if you ever find yourself staring at a damp patch wondering where on earth it’s come from!
