Today we attended a property where a small section of the roof had been suffering from a leak. After carefully stripping back the affected area, we inspected the roof structure and found the battens were still in good condition. We then installed new roofing felt, correctly lapped and secured it into place, before reinstating the existing slates to ensure the roof was fully weatherproof once again. πŸŒ§οΈβž‘οΈβ˜€οΈ

We also carried out additional repairs across the roof by replacing several damaged and worn slates with new matching slates, helping to improve both the appearance and protection of the roof. 🏑✨

To complete the job, we removed and replaced two cracked and decayed concrete chimney crowns, installing new concrete crowns to help protect the chimneys from future water ingress and weather damage. πŸ§±πŸ”§

After carrying out a thorough inspection, we quickly identified the cause of the problem. The existing concrete chimney crown had become cracked and heavily weathered over time, allowing water to pe*****te the chimney structure and find its way into the property. 🚨

❌ Damaged roofing felt around the rear of the chimney.
