Property has been part of Penny’s life from an early age, with both her father and grandfather well known within the industry. Since then, she has built extensive experience across the lettings sector, including senior-level roles within a large corporate agency.

Penny brings a genuine passion for property to Carters, alongside a strong focus on customer service, clear communication and a personal approach to every client.

As Lettings Director, she shares our commitment to consistently high standards, giving landlords and tenants the confidence and peace of mind that their property is in experienced hands.

The UK rental market continues to see strong demand, with rental growth rising to 2.6%, up from 1.6% in February 2026.

At the same time, the number of homes available to rent remains under pressure:

📉 Rental supply is 3% lower than a year ago

📉 New rental stock coming to market is down 6%

📈 There are now 5.3 enquiries for every rental property, the highest level for almost two years

🏙️ London is seeing rental growth of 2.9%

Higher mortgage rates are also keeping more prospective first-time buyers in rented accommodation for longer, adding further pressure to an already competitive market.
