Turns out you donā€™t need to be an electrician to fit LED lightingā€¦ does this mean I can start charging sparky rates and stop cleaning up after myself? šŸ‘€āš”ļøšŸ˜‚

Sensio have made this system ridiculously simple to install, and Howdens even pre-route the pantry units ready to accept the lighting.

Plug, fit, done. And just look at the result. šŸ‘Œ

Pantry goals? Absolutely.

Pythagoras, ever heard of him? šŸ“šŸ˜‚

The 3-4-5 method is a great way of finding a perfect 90Ā° corner ā€” but you donā€™t actually need 3, 4 and 5 to do it.

Because kitchens have an annoying habit of not being perfectly sized for a maths lesson.

Sometimes youā€™ve got more space, sometimes less, so the useful bit is knowing how to scale the 3-4-5 method to suit the kitchen youā€™re actually working in.

Hereā€™s how I use Pythagoras in the real world to get my kitchen set out square from the start. šŸ‘Œ

Sometimes itā€™s the little details that make the biggest difference.

My customer asked if I could make this boxing look as though it had come straight from the factory, so rather than stopping the boxing flat, I continued the detail from the top right the way around.

Itā€™s one of those jobs that most people probably wouldnā€™t noticeā€¦ but once you do, you canā€™t unsee it.

What do you reckon?

Before & afterā€¦

The view from my side of the bed wasnā€™t exactly inspiringā€¦ blue carpets, tired dĆ©cor, and a room that hadnā€™t really changed since the ā€™90s.

Fast forward to today, and itā€™s a completely different space. Clean, modern, and designed to feel even better than your average hotel room.

I nearly always post reelsā€¦ but every now and then a kitchen deserves a photo.

I fitted this Porcelain White Bridgemere kitchen from Howdens almost a year ago, and I still catch myself looking back at it.

The Porcelain White finish paired with the quartz worktops gives it such a clean, timeless look, while the bespoke mantle I made adds that little bit of character you just canā€™t buy off the shelf.

Itā€™s a reminder that good design doesnā€™t need to shout. Get the proportions right, use quality materials, and a kitchen like this will still look as good years later as it did on day one.
