JOB OPPORTUNITY – SCHOOL LEAVER / LABOURER
Advantage Fencing & Gates are looking for a school leaver / labourer to join our team.
We are an established family-run business installing estate fencing, domestic fencing, gates
and gate automation across the local area and throughout East Anglia.
This is a hands-on role, working as part of a team on a variety of fencing and gate
installation projects. The work can be heavy and physically demanding at times, so you must
be prepared to get stuck in and work hard.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is reliable, hardworking and keen to learn
• Can work well as part of a team
• Is able to use their own initiative and think for themselves
• Is happy working outdoors in all types of weather
• Is physically fit and prepared for manual work
• Has their own transport, or is able to reliably get to our office each morning
No previous experience is necessary – full training will be given on the job. Self-employed
in the first instance.
However, a willingness to learn, a good attitude and the ability to use your initiative are
essential. We are looking for someone who wants to learn a trade and develop their skills
within a busy, established business.

The culmination today of ourselves as a family with my brother Martin Smith and his family, have installed new church gates for the village where we both grew up and still have close links.
Belchamp St Paul Saint Andrews Church.

Iroko slatted bow top pair to replace the well used gates that had come to the end of their useful life.
It was very gratifying to be able to do this and poignant that Mum and Dad's grandson Josh Smith was there to finish the job where our parents lie today.

Two new oak posts were expertly installed by Nick Weddup , also Nick repaired the wall so we could do our part.

Power Drive in Haverhill helped us with a special discount for a new set of heavy duty galvanised fittings to complete the job.

Not forgetting Holly Chaplin who brought us altogether and did the spell checking 😁
