From conservatory to proper room… ✨

The transformation didn’t stop on the outside.

Once the new insulated roof was complete, the inside was given a full skim plaster finish, creating a warm, clean and completely transformed space.

The insulation installed gives the new roof a significant improvement in thermal performance compared with the original glazed roof.

The final plastering was expertly completed by Harry Brook Plasterers, leaving a beautifully smooth finish ready for the homeowners to decorate.

What was once a traditional glazed conservatory has now become a much more comfortable, practical space that can be enjoyed throughout the year. 🏡

We love seeing a project come together like this — from the roof structure and insulation right through to the finished plasterwork.

A conservatory transformation in Masham 🏡🔨

This beautiful conservatory in Masham has had a complete roof transformation by Adam and the team at Green & Heritage Roofing.

The original glazed roof was removed and replaced with a bespoke insulated conservatory roof, designed to improve both the appearance and performance of the space.

The new roof was finished with Tapco dark grey slate, giving it a traditional appearance that complements the existing property beautifully.

The detailing was just as important as the main roof, with fibre glass valleys, leadwork and ridge tiles all carefully finished to create a watertight and long-lasting roof.

We also completed the work under the NFRC Competent Person Scheme, with the roof registered for Part L of the Building Regulations, and the project comes with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee.

A great example of how replacing a conservatory roof can completely change the look and feel of a space — while making it far more practical to use all year round.

A great day celebrating the very best of roofing craftsmanship. 🏆

On 7 August, our Managing Director, Chris Hopkins, had the privilege of joining the judging panel for the inaugural Meistari Roofcraft Awards, held at The Queen at Chester Hotel.

With entries judged on everything from technical complexity and material selection to workmanship, attention to detail and the way a project was approached, it was a real privilege to see the standard of work being produced across the roofing industry.

Chris was also delighted to present one of the awards on the day — a fitting role for someone who has spent more than 35 years working in roofing, particularly within the heritage and traditional roofing sector.

There was some genuinely impressive craftsmanship on show, and plenty of people behind the scenes who put a huge amount of time and effort into making the inaugural awards such a success.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising the event, to the fellow judges for their time and expertise, and of course to all the entrants and winners for showcasing the skill and craftsmanship that goes into our industry.

It’s great to see an event putting the spotlight firmly on quality, skill and craftsmanship — and we’re proud to have been part of its first year.

When the boss says “keep an eye on the work…” 😂

Adam, Jonjoe and Ryan taking their roofing duties very seriously at this Tong farmhouse in Bradford! 💪😂

We’re part way through re-roofing this beautiful farm, and clearly the lads decided the best way to assess progress was with a quick display of their strength while they were up there! 🏠🔨

Joking aside, there’s plenty of hard work going on as we give this traditional Yorkshire property a new roof, while keeping the character of the building intact.

And yes… they did actually get back to work after this photo was taken! 😉

Completed at Church View! 🏡✨

What a transformation.

We’re delighted to have completed this stunning stone re-roofing project in beautiful Pott Shrigley, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern energy efficiency.
