Throwback Thursday 📸

We're looking back at one of our acoustic fencing projects in Felixstowe.

Projects like this don't come together overnight. Every stage requires careful planning, coordination and attention to detail. From installing the steel posts and preparing the ground, to fitting each acoustic panel with precision, every part of the installation plays a role in the finished result.

It's also a real team effort. Working alongside developers, site managers and other contractors helps keep projects moving safely and efficiently, while ensuring everything is completed to the required specification.

We're proud to have played our part in this project, and we'd like to thank everyone involved in making it happen.

Is cheaper fencing actually cheaper in the long run?

When you're replacing a garden fence, it's completely understandable to compare prices, particularly if you've got quite a few panels, posts and gravel boards to replace.

But two fence panels that look very similar can be quite different when it comes to the quality of the timber, how they've been constructed and treated, and ultimately how well they'll stand up to the British weather over the years.

Choosing the cheapest option might save you money today, but if panels start warping or posts need replacing sooner than expected, that initial saving can quickly disappear.

That doesn't mean you always need to buy the most expensive option either.

The best value comes from choosing the right fencing for your garden, how exposed it is, what you need it to do and how long you want it to last.

Planning a new fence? One question we get asked a lot is...

Do I need planning permission?

In most cases, you don't need planning permission for a new fence. There are some exceptions though.

• If the fence will be over 2 metres high
• If it's next to a highway and over 1 metre high
• If your property is listed or in a conservation area, additional rules may apply

Every property is different, so it's always worth checking with your local planning authority before work begins if you're unsure.
