🌿 ENJOY THE AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY! 🌿

In 2026, we’re all so used to being contactable 24/7. 📱
Smartphones, emails, Messenger, WhatsApp… we can pretty much reach anyone, anytime.

But just because we can be contacted 24/7, doesn’t mean we should be! 😂

We know Bank Holidays are often when people get stuck into the DIY, have a wander around the garden and suddenly think…

And honestly, we really appreciate you thinking of us! ❤️

But we’re also going to take our own advice and enjoy the Bank Holiday ourselves. 🍻🌞

Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, and we’ll be taking Monday off to relax, recharge and spend some time enjoying the Bank Holiday.

So if you’ve messaged us on Messenger, WhatsApp or email, please don’t worry if you don’t hear back straight away.

Heatwave + heavy rain = a ultimate test for your gutters! 🌧️☀️
​We’ve had plenty of messages coming in today following yesterday’s downpour. When gutters are full of dried debris or cracked from sun exposure, rainwater has nowhere to go except over the sides and into your building structure.

🔧 Big shout-out to GMB Tool Hire! 👏

We needed a tower for this roof scrape. We could easily buy one… but then we’d have to find somewhere to bloody store it! 😂

So, for the amount we’d use one, we’d much rather hire it from GMB Tool Hire — and give a local business some custom while we’re at it! 👍

We use GMB whenever we need a bit of kit we don’t use regularly, and they’re always spot on.

Why buy it, store it and trip over it when you can just hire it? 😂

🌿 Something different every day! 🌿

They say variety is the spice of life, and that certainly applies to us! 😄

With the great British weather giving us every season in one day, and a forecast you can never quite rely on, we always try to plan our jobs accordingly!

Today’s job was one we knew we could crack on with even if the rain arrived — we don’t mind getting a bit wet! 🌧️

Except… where’s the rain?! 😂 We’ve hardly seen any of what was forecast!

So today we’re tackling this very overgrown front garden — clearing self-seeded trees and shrubs, including a rather enthusiastic butterfly bush 🦋, clearing weeds and preparing an area ready for membrane.

Because we carry out all types of grounds & property maintenance, there’s always something different going on!

2nd day on the roof scrape & this afternoon is about tackling the aftermath!

The guttering is being cleared out, and then it’s onto cleaning all the UPVC — soffits, fascias, downpipes, window frames, sills and the windows themselves. There’s certainly plenty of moss and muck to deal with! 😂

We always say, your property is one of the biggest things you’ll spend your money on, so it makes sense to look after it.

Yes, regular maintenance is an expense, but keeping things clean, maintained and in good condition can help prevent bigger problems and hopefully save you from having to replace things unnecessarily further down the line.

A bit of maintenance now can save a much bigger bill later. 👍

A little reminder about how busy we are! 🏡

This roof scrape we’re currently working on was quoted back in March — and we’re only just getting to it!

We will always do our best to help people out where we can. New window cleaning customers and lawn mowing jobs can often be fitted in fairly quickly, as we’re already out doing those services and smaller jobs can usually be worked around.

It’s the larger jobs that need quoting and scheduling that have to join the queue. That said, if something is urgent, we’ll always try to help where possible. And if it’s an indoor job and the weather turns against us, we can sometimes move things around and bring you forward.

So, just a little reminder — if your job isn’t urgent but you know you’ll want it doing, please don’t leave it until you’re ready for it! 😆

There’s no point chasing us for a quote and then being surprised that there’s a wait afterwards. We’re genuinely just that busy!

If you’re thinking about having larger works done, getting in touch sooner rather than later is definitely the best bet. 👍

As always, we’ll get to everyone as quickly as we possibly can. ❤️

💷 A QUICK NOTE ABOUT PAYMENT

We’re a small family business, so just a little reminder about how payment works with us.

We don’t accept credit/debit cards, Klarna, Clearpay or payment plans. We don’t take card payments because the fees are another expense, and we always try to keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.

We accept cash or bank transfer, and payment can be made while our lads are still there.

If you’re a regular customer and have your windows cleaned or your lawn mowed, you already know the price you pay each time. So when the job is done, payment can simply be made by cash or transfer.

For one-off jobs, it’s the same principle:

You accept the quote → we do the job → you’re happy → payment is made.

We wouldn’t go into Tesco, get our shopping and say “Thanks very much!” before walking out without paying 😂 — and it’s really no different when we provide a service.

We do have a few commercial customers who require invoices, but for domestic work, payment is due upon completion unless agreed otherwise beforehand.

We’re not trying to be awkward — we’re just a small family business, and keeping payments straightforward helps us keep our prices as competitive as possible.

📱 Happy with the job? A quick cash payment or bank transfer while the lads are there is all we ask.
