A DAY IN THE LIFE AT MAGIC 🎨

Wednesday over in Holmer Green for , getting this kitchen painted and ready before the new kitchen is fitted. 👌

We’ve got to give a massive shoutout to Ridgeway Interiors for how professional they are, especially when it comes to their schedule of works. Every job we’ve worked on together runs smoothly, everything is organised, and there are never any issues. 🤝

Liam also shares a quick tip for cutting in fast using an Albany Medium Pile Roller 👀

Simply load the roller up, press it into the corner and roll! It’s a seriously quick way to get your cutting in done when you get the technique right. 🔥

🚨 BREWERS TRADE SHOW – HIGH WYCOMBE! 🚨

What a day at the Trade Show in High Wycombe! 🎨🔥

We checked out some seriously impressive new products and even had a bit of fun along the way!

🟢 Precision Double-Sided Tape
Perfect for masking windows!

You can get a super sharp edge and simply stick your plastic directly to the tape — ideal when spraying. 👌

🛠️ Tutorial
We were shown just how easy it is to shape repairs with Repair Care.

Great little demo and definitely worth checking out!

💡 LED UV Oil This one blew us away!

Apply the oil, wave the LED light over it and it dries instantly! 🤯

Even better, it’s fully cured inside and out.

🎨 Super satin, Jamie put Albany Super Satin through its paces and was seriously impressed.

Definitely one we’d recommend giving a go!

Jamie stepped up, showed off his skills and walked away with himself a hoodie! 😂

We’re kicking off a brand-new project in Thame! 🏡🎨

The whole downstairs is fresh plaster, so there’s plenty of prep and painting to get stuck into.

Tuesday at the Naphill Project 👨‍🎨🏡

Another productive day and we’ve now wrapped up our work at the Naphill project, ready for the new kitchen installation by 👌

💡 Liam’s Decorating Tips:

🔹 Tip 1: Don’t let filler dry on your filling knives.

Clean them as you go using water or a wet wipe to keep your tools in perfect condition and make filling much easier.

🔹 Tip 2: Once you’ve stripped wallpaper, always give the walls a thorough sand before sealing them with Zinsser Peel Stop.

This helps lock down any loose edges and creates the perfect surface for decorating.

✅ Here’s what we’ve completed:
• All ceilings mist coated and finished with two top coats.
• Walls stripped of wallpaper.
• Sanded, filled, sanded again.
• Sealed with Zinsser Peel Stop.
• Painted, then final filled, sanded and top coated for a smooth finish.

The project is now ready for Prestige Kitchens to finish the kitchen, and we’ll be back afterwards to complete the final finishing touches.

We can’t wait to show you the finished transformation! 🙌

Today we kicked off a brand-new project for and as always, day one is all about the preparation.

The quality of the finish is only as good as the prep that goes into it!

💡 Today’s Decorating Tips:

🔹 Struggling to remove old wall plugs? Simply screw a screw into the raw plug and use the back of a hammer to pull it straight out.

🔹 When filling artex ceilings uses a brush to mimic the pattern but tapping it again the surface or brushing it into the pattern.

🏡 Main Area Progress:
✔️ Mist coated the ceilings
✔️ Applied the first top coat to both ceilings
✔️ Stripped all the wallpaper
✔️ Sanded the walls
✔️ Skimmed damaged areas
✔️ Sanded again and applied a second fill where needed
✔️ Protected all the kitchen units and doors
✔️ Repaired larger holes using mesh repair patches for a strong, long-lasting finish

🛠️ Utility Room:
Jordan had a productive day:
✔️ Prepared and applied two coats to the ceiling
✔️ Filled, sanded, painted and second filled the walls
✔️ Sanded all the woodwork and sealed it with Zinsser BIN, ready for the next stage

Another fantastic project completed for 👌

This stunning kitchen has been finished with a bold, modern look using Jet Black Durable Matt on the kitchen ceiling and walls, creating a sleek and contemporary space.

The dining area has been kept bright and fresh with White, giving the perfect contrast to the darker kitchen.

To finish everything off, all the woodwork has been coated in Dulux Satinwood White for a durable, crisp finish.

It’s amazing how the contrast between the black kitchen and bright dining area completely transforms the space.
