The Future Homes Standard & Why Integrated Automation Matters

Everyone is talking about the Future Homes Standard, but very few people are discussing what it means in practice.

The Future Homes Standard aims to reduce carbon emissions from new homes by up to 75-80% compared to current building regulations while significantly improving overall energy performance.

Achieving these targets requires more than simply installing efficient heating systems, solar panels, battery storage, EV chargers, and smart controls. The real challenge is ensuring that every system works together intelligently.

Disconnected technologies often operate independently, resulting in wasted energy, reduced efficiency, and a poor user experience.

This is where Loxone makes the difference.

Loxone creates a single intelligent ecosystem that seamlessly integrates:

• Lighting• Heating & Cooling• Shading• Energy Management• Solar PV & Battery Storage• EV Charging• Security & Access Control• Multi-Room Audio

By allowing these systems to communicate and respond automatically, Loxone helps homeowners maximise efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and improve comfort without the need for constant manual control.

Imagine a home that automatically:

✓ Uses solar energy when available✓ Charges your EV at the most efficient time✓ Adjusts heating and cooling based on occupancy✓ Controls blinds to reduce overheating and heat loss✓ Switches off unused circuits and appliances✓ Optimises battery storage and energy usage throughout the day

The result is a smarter, more sustainable home that is better prepared for the Future Homes Standard and future energy requirements.

At SRJeanes Ltd, we design and install intelligent Loxone solutions that bring every system together into one simple, powerful platform.

One System. One Interface. Complete Control.

Future-proof your home with intelligent automation that reduces running costs, increases comfort, and helps achieve the energy performance standards of tomorrow.
