The making of SefteĀ®.

Every Meaco product has a story, and SefteĀ® is no exception.

Built over 3 years, through countless iterations and shaped by real customer feedback, SefteĀ® was designed with one clear goal: to create powerful, whisper-quiet cooling that works around real life.

From glow-in-the-dark remote buttons and an elevated display, to our Air Beam Precision technology for more targeted airflow, every feature was carefully engineered to solve everyday frustrations and improve comfort at home.

Because the best innovations start by listening.

10 things I stopped doing during hot weather to help me sleep better:

1. Sleeping with my bedroom door completely closed: Trapped air = trapped heat.

2. Taking a hot shower right before bed: It raises your body temperature before trying to sleep.

3. Cooking late in the evening: Ovens and hobs heat up the whole house more than you realise.

4. Keeping lamps on at night: Some lighting gives off a surprising amount of heat.

5. Leaving bedding piled up during the day: Your bed holds onto warmth, airing it out helps.

6. Sleeping in synthetic fabrics: Breathable cotton or linen feels much cooler in hot weather.

7. Running appliances like washing machines or dryers during peak heat: They warm up the house really fast.

8. Sleeping with no airflow near the bed: Even light air movement can make heat feel far more manageable.

9. Drying towels or clothes in the bedroom: It increases humidity and makes the room feel sticky.

10. Keeping blackout curtains shut all night: Great during the day, but at night you want airflow once it cools outside.

11. BONUS- Blocking vents or airflow paths with furniture: Air needs space to move properly.

10 Tips to help keep your bedroom cool during a heatwave without breaking the bank:

1. Don’t rush to open the window - If the air outside is hotter than inside, keeping windows shut can actually help keep your room cooler.

2. Create a through-breeze when it is cooler outside - Open windows or doors on opposite sides of your home in the evening or early morning to flush hot air out and pull cooler air in.

3. Block the sun during the day - Keep curtains or blinds closed while the sun is up to reduce heat build-up, especially if you’re out during the day.

4. Switch off hidden heat sources - Laptops, chargers, and lamps all quietly heat up a room. Unplug what you don’t need before bed.

5. Lower humidity if it feels sticky - High humidity makes heat feel worse. A dehumidifier can make the air feel noticeably lighter and more comfortable.

6. Use a fan as your first line of cooling - Fans don’t actually lower temperature, but they move air efficiently and are far cheaper to run than air conditioning.

7. Use a fan strategically (not randomly) - Point a fan towards an open window at night to push hot air out, or circulate air across the room rather than just at yourself.

8. Size and movement matter - A larger oscillating fan will circulate air more effectively across a room than a small fixed one.

9. Avoid adding heat in the evening - Skip long hot showers, ovens, or tumble dryers before bed - they all push room temperature up.

10. Let heat escape from the top of the room - Hot air rises. Opening a high window or vent at night can help release trapped heat faster.

How to save over Ā£700 with a Meaco product šŸ’”

There is no escaping it, energy bills are horrendous at the moment and there does not seem to be any sign that prices will start to fall anytime soon. Even though there is a predicted price drop in energy prices, these costs are still far higher than before Covid-19. This is why energy efficiency makes more sense than ever.

We compared the running costs of our products against competitor models and found that choosing a more energy-efficient appliance could save you hundreds over the lifetime of the product.
