This job followed a recently completed EICR for a local landlord. The inspection highlighted a number of issues that needed addressing to bring the installation up to the current rental safety
One of the main items was this consumer unit upgrade. As shown in the photos, the original unit had open holes in the top, meaning it didn’t meet the minimum IP4X rating. This allowed debris to enter the enclosure and build up in the bottom of the unit. The new unit is fully compliant, properly sealed, and now includes RCBO protection on the circuits along with SPD protection for improved safety and fault protection.
A solid improvement all round.
