Coaches words -
Big well done today girls.
Again the conditions was difficult and for the first half clee dealt better with them and had the better of the first half. So credit to Tillets for that.
At half time the girls was very disappointed with themselves so we asked them to change just 2 things. Work rate and intensity.
And they did exactly that and completely controlled the second half. Winning every second ball and backing each other up. You could see the smiles returning back onto their faces and they was enjoying the ball more and more.
Then the moment that won the game. Some great football to get Ella through on goal and a blatant shirt pull to stop her. She dusted herself down and smashed the free kick in from 25 yards 💪
3 points, clean sheet and a second half performance to be proud of 🩵
Player of the match.
Again a big shout out to Maisy who was exceptional for the full game at centre back. 👏
Also a big shoutout for Izzy who came on and had a cracking game, winning the ball back all half and setting us off on attacks. The physicality we needed today 👏
But we went for Ella as the player of the match. She's started the season off like a steam train and is leading from the front every game. She's been kicked, pulled, pushed and fouled for 80 mins today and she's loved every minute of it 😂 topped off by scoring a rocket of a free kick to win the game 👏 well done Ella 💫
Have a great weekend UTAFC
