The short answer? No.

But a battery could help you make more use of the electricity your solar panels generate.

Instead of sending surplus energy back to the grid during the day, a battery can store some of it for you to use later, including when the sun has gone down. 🌙

Sort of… but don't rely on it! 👀

Rain can wash away some loose dust and dirt, but it won't always remove things like bird droppings, pollen, leaves or stubborn grime.

And when dirt builds up, it can reduce the amount of sunlight reaching your panels, potentially affecting their performance.

So while our lovely British weather can give your panels a bit of a rinse… 🌧️😂

It isn't quite the same as a proper clean.

If topping up your boiler pressure is becoming part of your weekly routine… 🚩

If you’re constantly topping up your boiler pressure, there’s usually a reason.

🔧 A small leak somewhere in the heating system
💨 Air in the radiators
🫧 An issue with the expansion vessel
⚠️ A pressure relief valve that isn’t working properly

Occasionally topping up the pressure isn’t necessarily a big deal, but if you’re doing it regularly, don’t just keep reaching for the filling loop.

It’s worth getting the cause checked before a small problem turns into a bigger one. 👀
