We are looking for an experienced 360 Plant Operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating our own plant on a variety of construction, groundworks, and civil engineering sites across the Scottish Borders & surrounding areas. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while supporting site operations as required.

This role suits a reliable and experienced operator who can work independently and as part of a team.

**Job Opportunity - Working Foreman**

As a Working Foreman, you will lead by example, managing site teams and ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will be hands-on, working alongside operatives & plant while coordinating with site management to ensure project targets are met.

The ideal candidate will be hands on and willing to get stuck in and have experience in leading a squad of General Operatives & Plant Operators to deliver a wide range of civils projects. Being able to work unsupervised is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead groundworks operatives on site
Interpret drawings and specifications to plan daily tasks
Maintain site safety, quality, and productivity standards
Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Report on progress and identify issues or delays
Carry out hands-on work where required
Conduct daily briefings and ensure proper toolbox talks are held
Requirements:

Proven experience in groundworks, with at least 2 years in a foreman or supervisory role
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential)
CSCS card (essential)
First at Work Aid certification (preferred)
CPCS / NPORS Card (preferred)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Full UK driving license
For the right candidate we would be willing to arrange for the necessary training/qualifications for the role.

With the Streamers putting West Calder United to the sword at Home Park, the victory was magnified by the performances from all players involved. The boys in blue, blew WCU away and there was a host of players who could easily have picked up the Man of the Match award.

However, yesterday saw a colossus performance come from Streamers Centre Half Tam Hume. Pairing with Max Fox in the backline, Tambo was the standout player from the opening whistle to the final whistle.

Tam is a no-nonsense defender, giving you the feel of an old-fashioned centre half, he does what it says on the tin with tackles, blocks, headers, being physical and of course the turn of pace that few attackers can get the better of. If Tam put in one tackle yesterday, he put in a 100, if Tam won a header, he won 200, Tam was the concrete of the wall that kept WCU out of the game.
