Garage conversion complete.

From taking out the door all the way to creating this living space. A new bedroom.
All that is left to do is fit the flooring and then the skirting board can go down.

Project updates:

In between the garage conversion, last week we had a couple of lovely jobs to complete.

Firstly, taking down an old chimney and rebuilding.
Second, building a new fresh front wall 😎

New project started, garage conversion 😁
So far, the footings have been dug, filled, blockwork up and insulation installed.
Now ready for brickwork to commence.

Project completed recently:

Transforming this back garden into a more usable space, especially for those warm summer days/evenings.

First we dug out the two areas, then bricked up the raised curved patio, before hardcore went down.
Giving it a nice whack a few times until it was totally solid, soaking it in the process.
The slabs started going down, and some nice detail in it too, including a curved step and edge.
Here is the final result, more photos will go up when the grass is greener and all furniture is in place for the final look!

Progress update:

The slabs are going down on this what will be lovely curved patio.
Also taking time and taking pride getting the perfect semi circle, ready for a step into the garage.
The small details matter and perfection is always the aim.

Project complete 👌

These steps where to steep and dangerous for the customer, so they wanted a small patio area so they could relax and enjoy their garden 😎

Building a new wall around the area and installing a new patio.

Because I had to go off the original foundations, to get up to level with the house gauge, there was a little bit of gaining to do over the first 4 courses. The original build was sloping away and this had to be brought level.

Here is the end result and an area the customer can enjoy 👌

Project update:

Today was hard graft but that’s what counts. Work hard and be rewarded.

Mixed and poured the concrete footing ready for the curved retaining wall before infilling with hard core and patio.

Barrowing in 5 tonne of hardcore ready to wack down for a new curved patio to be installed 😎

Pleased with how this is ticking along 👌

New project underway 😎

Today we dug out the curved patio areas ready for hardcore. Following the lay of the land.
Some nice detail going into this and I can’t wait to start laying.

Working though the rain but we got the job done. Keeping the garden clean and tidy when using the digger.

Big thankyou to Hayley Moore (D.S.Moore Building and Groundworks Ltd) for supplying the man for the digger. Awesome job and done properly.

Time for a rest after barrowing 8 tonnes of soil and concrete today 😅👌
