It’s funny how we spend so much of our lives trying to get ahead… only to realize later that “ahead” just meant more bills, more stress, more things tying us down.

Van life didn’t magically erase responsibilities. The engine still needs work. Groceries still cost money. Things still break at the worst possible time. But something shifted out here. Time started to feel different. Slower. Fuller. Like it actually belonged to me again.

You start realizing that the best moments aren’t expensive. They’re quiet mornings by the water. Campfires that last a little longer than planned. Watching the sky change colors while your home sits right beside you.

The bills never really go away. But the feeling that you’re missing your life? That’s what you leave behind.
