🔨 Garage Conversion – There's More to It Than Meets the Eye!
I thought I'd share a few photographs of a garage conversion I've been working on, showing the transformation from the early construction stages through to the nearly finished room.
I think sometimes people assume a garage conversion is simply a case of putting up some plasterboard, laying a floor and giving everything a coat of paint. But there's quite a bit more to it than that!
As you can see from the photographs, there's a lot of work involved before you even get to the finishing touches.
From constructing a completely new floor, installing insulation and pipework, insulating the walls and ceiling, through to electrics, plastering, joinery and laying the finished flooring.
It's often the work you **don't see** once everything is finished that's just as important as the bits you do.
After all, there's no point having a lovely-looking room if it's cold, damp or uncomfortable to use!
I take pride in every stage of a project, from the initial construction right through to the finer details. It's always satisfying to see what was once a garage gradually becoming a lovely additional room in someone's home.
If you've got a garage that's not being used to its full potential, whether you're thinking of an extra bedroom, home office, playroom or somewhere to relax, feel free to get in touch.
I'm always happy to come and have a look, discuss your ideas and provide an estimate.
