Nova Construction Nova Construction is a family run business based in Gravesend specialising in home extensions. Founded by Mark Haran who has been joined by his son James Haran.

Nova Construction has been producing quality home improvements for over twenty years. Mark entered the building profession around 1978 when he started a city and guilds indentured apprenticeship, following successful completion he went on to further his skills on many well known and historic sites in London. After initially forming a brickwork sub-contracting company he spotted a niche in the home

improvement market for a building company that produces quality along with affordability. Bar a brief two year spell lecturing at North West Kent college the rest as they say "is history". James (Jamie) Haran has followed his father into the business and has become partner. He has attended N.W.K. College and has achieved N.V.Q. level two.

Garage Conversion Completed 👷

We completed this a little while ago and wanted to wait for the clients to put in their furniture to fully show off this conversion to its full potential.

This is a returning client who we have worked for multiple times before. They returned to us wanting to create a home office that was separate from the house that could double up as a 2nd TV area and temporary accommodation.

A garage conversion was the decided option. Including relocation of the gas meter, boiler and consumer unit. The garage was being used to store unwanted items and wasted space. Although not a huge space, with clever planning and the correct furniture we could convert the garage and give the homeowner what they wanted.

Job update.

On the conservatory replacement job in Gravesend. We have taken down the old conservatory and disposed of it. Built up the cavity walling and had the survey undertaken. All glazing is now ordered and we are awaiting its delivery. So watch this space when we are back and fitting the new conservatory and getting this job completed.

Check out this extension we have just completed.

A small front extension also incorporating an integral garage, giving the homeowners a 2nd living space/lounge, a new separate utility room and a larger entrance.

All works were undertaken by Nova Construction from groundworks to finished decorating. Including the main gas supply being rerouted and the consumer unit (fuse board) relocated.

*Check out this completed garden!* 👷

We recently completed this rear garden project for a family. When the homeowners approached us they were wanting to achieve a garden space that was smooth and flat for their young children, an area separated so their dogs didn't have full access to the garden, a bin store and for the garden to be of low maintenance.

This was the finished product. The clients are over the moon with the finished garden and excited to enjoy summer in the new space.
