🧮 Part-time Bookkeeper & Office Administrator needed at MacPherson Electrical Ltd 🧮
The bookkeeper & office administrator is responsible for maintaining all day-to-day accounting and administrative roles.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
💡 Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
💡 Mail/email invoices and statements to customers.
💡 Make collection calls as necessary.
💡 Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements as needed.
💡 Partner with the accountant to assist in year end audit.
💡 Complete bank reconciliations.
💡 Complete VAT returns.
💡 Handle personnel related questions/issues.
💡 Manage personnel paperwork and keep a high level of confidentiality.
💡 Answer and route incoming calls. Take and log messages as needed.
💡 Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence and outgoing mail.
💡 Preparing estimates.
💡 Perform general office administrative duties as required including filing, scanning documents, copying, printing etc.
Requirements
✅ High level of confidentiality.
✅ 3 + years experience within an accounting and office role.
✅ Knowledge and understanding of accounting software packages is preferred but training can be provided.
✅ Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
✅ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
✅ Ability to work alone.

Despite there being somewhat official mixed messages from Politicians and the Scottish Buildings Employers Federation, in the light of the latest announcements from the Scottish Government we are closed from tonight.

In line with Government guidelines essential works to securing sites will be completed today.

Our office is officially closed, if there are any emergencies please call 07740 588740 and we will try to assist via the skeleton staff.

A face behind the name... introducing Fiona, the lady keeping MacPherson Electrical moving behind the scenes. Fiona takes your calls, answers your emails and makes sure the invoices get to you all! She is also there to keep Graham in his toes - helping get estimates out, and keeping track of where the guys are working on a daily basis.
