Another project underway this week for JAZ

We’re excited to begin reconstruction of a collapsed car park wall as part of a wider improvement project.

Our groundworkers have cleared the area and poured new concrete foundations, ready for brickwork to start. The new wall will include three courses of blue engineered brick with weep holes at the base a design adjustment that improves stability and drainage where water collects behind the structure.

It’s great to see progress on site and the project taking shape.

Managing Heat Safely – Protecting Buildings and People
With temperatures climbing across the UK, extreme heat can put stress on both property infrastructure and those maintaining it.

At JAZ Facilities Management, we’re reminding clients and teams that proactive maintenance and sensible precautions are key to staying safe and keeping buildings performing efficiently in these conditions.

For property and facilities managers:

Review ventilation and cooling systems to ensure they’re operating effectively.

Inspect roof spaces, plant rooms and loft areas these can trap heat and affect fire safety systems.

Check fire doors, seals and compartmentation for any heat‑related expansion or damage.

Confirm air‑conditioning, extraction and insulation maintenance is up to date.

For our teams on site:

Stay hydrated and take regular breaks in shaded areas.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Use light, breathable PPE where possible.

Report any signs of heat exhaustion immediately.
