A rainy day and misty walk around Thirlmere ↟
The Lakes really doesn’t need sunshine to be beautiful.
It was so very peaceful with the misty hills and soft grey skies 🫶🏻 A calming and inspiring day ↟

Gluten free bakery ↟

A little look behind the scenes at a very exciting project in Bowness that I have been working on.

I’ve been busy painting the interior and exterior of a lovely new gluten free bakery and helping to get everything ready for the opening.

As you can see from the photos, there was a lot of bright pink that we needed to say goodbye to! I gradually managed to block it out by painting over it in Lamp Black by Little Greene, in their intelligent eggshell. The bakery shop front is now looking very smart ↟

The interior was a mixture of bright blue walls and flowery wallpaper and pink trim…! Once again I used the intelligent matt by Little Greene in the colour Flint ↟

It’s now looking lovely and fresh and ready for the baking to start 🥨 The bakery is hoping to open very soon, so keep you eyes and senses peeled for the delicious scent of fresh bread baking floating out the door…

I also wrote a little message on the window, to all the lovely people of Bowness, with a few details about the new bakery 🥖 and a big 22 above the front door too!

I have absolutely loved being part of bringing this new space to life, and I can’t wait to see it open its doors… 🥖 🥐 🥨

A new little piece of the Lakes ↟

This is my latest print and will be available on my website and Etsy in the next 24 hours ↟ This print was inspired by one of those quiet moments in the Lakes… soft gentle colours, simple shapes and layers and a landscape that invites you to slow down. I wanted to capture the feeling of being there, rather than every tiny detail ↟

Golden hour ♡
A late evening walk for some cool air…getting up high seemed like a really good idea ♡ I was welcomed with such a beautiful sunset 🫶🏻 I really couldn’t believe my eyes…such beauty on our doorstep… 📷

Low Wray ♡
Quiet time in the Lakes. This print was inspired by a photo I captured whilst walking near Low Wray. A lovely path leads you round Bleham Tarn and onto the shores of lake Windermere ♡ Always inspired by my time in the lakes. I had to stop the car to capture this lovely view… with the wild flowers and grasses in the foreground ♡ 📷 🍃

Before + After
A great zig zag pattern and a little bit of texture needed to be removed to create a great base for this lovely ocean mural…The walls were prepped by sanding, filling and then painted white. A few coats of white was needed to erase the original pattern and then the ocean 🐠 mural could be drawn out and painted…Designed to grow with its little owner, a lovely soft colour palette was used to create this calming ocean mural. Lulworth Blue by F&B was used on the walls and in the mural too, this creates a lovely blended feel to the room…🐠 Do you have a wall or space that needs some tlc? As you can see a mural can transform a space and make it feel completely different, changing the mood and atmosphere… lulworthblue

Lake District Prints ♡
I have chosen to create each of my prints with two different skies. You can never tell what the weather is going to do in the Lakes! You have to be prepared for everything, all in one day… ☔️☀️🌧️😎
So each print currently is available as a bright blue / sunny sky, and then also available, with a deep blue / rain on its way sky! I may include more weathers in the future! ♡ Link for my print shop in my bio ♡

1661 Farmhouse ♡
What a beautiful property. I have recently finished painting this very lovely panelled bedroom. 144 panels…! All sanded carefully, cleaned and freshly painted in Dimity by Farrow and Ball, with the ceiling being painted in Wimborne White also F&B. The property dates back to 1661 so it has some amazing features and history…A lovely experience to work on such an amazing and historic property. Can you spot the little tortoise 🐢 ♡
