For this project we were tasked to create a space that could act as a screen for those unsightly bins and provide storage in a yard that was limited in room.

We opted for a bespoke planter above to provide colour from plants and the ability to grow delicious herbs in the warmer months.

Can't wait to see this one planted up in the summer!

We installed a terracotta style Porcelain tile for that Mediterranean summer feel.

Alongside a bespoke meandering boardwalk to the top of the garden. Giving access to the pre-fab gazebo and sun set views over the valley.

Tipi or not Tipi... There's only one answer!

Here's a bespoke Tipi/play hut we made with grandchildren in mind. However, as the job progressed the grandparents began to have ideas of moving in !

The Challenge was to transform the awkward neglected corner into a child friendly fun space for all. Which needless to say was no match for Muddy knees ...

Another fun job and another satisfied customer !

A little garden transformation we did recently.. 🌳

Decking area with some dog friendly astro turf installed, lovely job apart from having to barrow everything through their brand new white kitchen 🤪

Well this job certainly kept us on our toes...

This customer was dissatisfied with her concrete yard and wanted various different elements to help break it up.

First phase was to rip up the old concrete yard which uncovered an old York stone path . Commence mission recycle .

We re-used all the old York stone for a new patio area and path along with recycling some old robinia branches to create a bespoke pergola / swing.

The installation of a raised bed along the wall utilised the areas which caught the sun whilst also adding levels to the yard.

Next was onto the astro-turf which half way through decided to become a mini golf course ! Muddy knees were happy to step up and create this space perfect for an aspiring PGA Pro!

Decent little job we carried out a couple of weeks back..

Full rip out of existing kit, astro turf and old wet pour 🛠

We then built a new sleeper planter, outdoor classroom, mud kitchen, interactive water wall, picket fence to divide the two spaces and did the ground works for the new astro turf..

Really happy with how this one turned out 😁

Andddd that's a wrap... 🎁🎄 🎁

Final job before we shut up shop for Christmas, it was a chilly one but thankfully the temperature rose just enough to thaw out the sand and gave us a chance to lay these lush sandstone slabs...

Just want to say a massive thank you to all that were part of another successful year in business for Muddy Knees 🙌🤙

It's definitely not been an easy year for everyone but we just wanted to express our gratitude for the continued support and we'll see you all in the new year..

Merry Christmas people, hope it's lush and you all get a decent rest 🍻🍻

Our customer for this project had just recently moved into a new build and weren't satisfied with product supplied by the house builder. The garden was completely uneven and had a large fall running right to left making it almost impossible for their lad to have a kick about on. With St James' in mind we set to work, installing sleepers around the perimeter to help level off the garden. We then laid the porcelain paving and edging along with the fresh turf to completely transform this outdoor space. A surface fit for Bruno don't you think?? ⚽️🤩⚽️🤩⚽️🤩⚽️

A quirky, fairytale space for curious young minds 🏡🦔🏰🐿️✨!!

We had SO much fun designing and building the wonky treehouse for our lovely customer who wanted a magical space for the village children to play in.

The main aim of the project was to create a ramshackled treehouse which looked as if it and the tree had always been as one. To achieve this, we designed a bespoke treehouse to fit within the trunk of a conifer tree which was a challenging build but we think the results speak for itself!

We used locally sourced larch for the treehouses cladding and cedar shingles for the roof which we blow torched to give it a weathered effect.

The treehouse is surrounded by woodland creatures by our talented friend Alan, all of which have been spotted in this beautiful garden.
