Groundworker – Prestons Construction

Rates: Negotiable (dependent on experience & certifications)

Prestons Construction is looking for reliable and skilled Groundworkers to join our expanding team. We are a well-established construction and groundworks company delivering high-quality projects across Hull and East Yorkshire. This role offers long-term, continuous work for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out a variety of groundworks tasks, including drainage, concreting, foundations, kerbing, and general site preparation

Operate machinery safely and competently as required

Work effectively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines

Follow all site health & safety procedures and company standards

Requirements:

Valid NPORS or CPCS certification

Experience operating a 9-tonne dumper (essential)

Demonstrable experience in groundworks

Ability to work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Senior Site Engineer – Prestons Construction

Location: Hull & East Yorkshire

Employment Type: Full-Time

Prestons Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to join our expanding team. We are a reputable groundworks and civil engineering company delivering complex, high-standard projects across Hull and East Yorkshire. We are looking for an experienced professional who can take ownership of engineering operations and support the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead engineering activities across multiple construction and groundworks sites

Set out, level, and survey site work with precision

Ensure all works comply with design specifications and industry standards

Produce accurate reports, records, and as-built documentation

Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors

Liaise effectively with clients, project managers, and senior leadership

Ensure quality control is maintained throughout all stages of work

Uphold the highest standards of health & safety

Requirements:

Comprehensive experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer role

Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering

Relevant engineering qualifications (degree or equivalent essential)

Proven ability to work independently and manage technical requirements on site

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications with accuracy

References required to support experience and performance

Full UK driving licence
