If you go to the reviews section on my page, I think you can leave a new review in there - I've only done Google reviews before though to be honest, so I'm not entirely sure how to do it!

Word of mouth goes a long way but some people don't know where to start, and often look for reviews and recommendations.

Timber steps often rot or become slippery over time. This weeks lovely customers found the steps too steep, so when I was replacing them with a permanent, solid brick structure, I added another step in.

By digging proper footings, laying concrete, and carefully matching the brickwork to the original house walls, I’ve created a wide, safe transition into the garden that my customers love, and that will last for many decades. Just need to put final touches on, and finish a doorway removal/make good in the house and it'll be done, ready for me to move onto my next job.

For this project, the clients had their front wall built by a previous contractor quite some time ago, but it was left unfinished. I then became known to them, so they got in touch with me to come in and get it finished.

Despite a few material backorders along the way, it was a fantastic job to work on. We laid matching coping stones along the full lengths of wall, sleek pier caps installed on every pier (including cutting three caps to size, to fit on the tricky corner), and custom metal railings fitted neatly between each section.

I think you'll agree, it definitely looks finished now ✔️

Mission accomplished! 🏁

This one was a massive challenge due to time constraints. We completed full salon refit in just over a week so the salon owner could re-open her doors on time.

It took some serious graft, a lot of very *very* late finishes, 3 layers of stripped-up flooring, and plenty of plaster and wall repairs, but seeing the final result makes every long hour worth it.... I think 🤣😴

Swipe to see the finished space. 50m² worth of new flooring laid, all walls refinished, and everything refitted so the salon can run as a salon! There is a kitchen area and toilet room not photographed that is part of this project also.

I started a hair salon transformation yesterday afternoon. Commercial jobs are always a quick-turnaround affair, especially for salons that very rarely close. I’ve got just over a week while the client is shut to completely strip out and refit the space.

Today was about demolition and prep..... lifting three hidden layers of old floor covering and getting the walls re-plastered where old mirrors and showers were left in place last time. It was like the gift that kept om giving! Big thanks to my wife who was a little grafter today, stepping up to help me out. Got stuck in with sanding walls, and helping with lifting the flooring. Teamwork today 💜

This job involved taking the room right back to the bare walls and starting fresh.
I removed the original shower setup and fitted a full-sized bath with a stylish brushed brass shower system over it.
To complete the room, I re-plastered where needed, new tiles, new vanity unit with sink and toilet, LVT flooring, new brass towel radiator, and a bespoke built shelving unit to make the most of the tight gap next to the toilet vanity. All ready for my client to paint. Swipe to see the before photo.

This garage had an old, rusty corrugated metal roof with old timbers and insulation underneath that needed replacing. I stripped out the old framework and upgraded it with brand new, modern insulated corrugated metal sheets. Finished it with new fascias, and lead where needed. All part of the service. My customers roof will keep everything in their garage secure and dry for many years to come now.

Being a one man band meant I had to get creative to hoist each sheet up onto the roof by myself. Let’s just say the top of my head is feeling a bit sore after some of my lift methods! I reckon my customers would have had a good laugh watching me puzzle that one out.

Last weeks work was the removal and rebuild of two walls for another lovely family.

At the end of these jobs, awkward gaps and voids in the tarmac along the front are often inevitable. Instead of just leaving them rough, I cut a clean line along the path and filled it back in with fresh tarmac. It does take a bit of extra time, but it makes a big difference to the final look. I finished everything off by re-attaching the wire and junction box neatly along the back of one wall.

Big milestone today. I picked up my new van!

A business is only as good as its tools and reliability, and with my new van, I can make sure I keep getting out to your projects on time.

Massive thanks to Connor at Ford, Gloucester for all his help getting it all sorted and in my hands. It's definitely not been smooth sailing! I've been borrowing a van from them for several weeks now whilst waiting for mine to be ready, and not once has he made me feel like I'm being a pain.

Give me a wave if you see me around. With this bright blue thing, I'll be difficult to miss! Sign-writing arriving soon, so watch this space 😃
