We thought it was about time we introduced the newest member of the team… 🐾

Meet Daxon — Dax for short. 💙

And because we’ve already been asked a few times what he is — Dax is an all-black German Shepherd. 🖤🐺 You don’t seem to see the all-black GSDs quite as often, so he’s already getting plenty of attention wherever he goes!

His actual contribution to the roofing side of the business is currently questionable, but morale has definitely improved since his arrival. 😂

At the moment, Dax’s main responsibilities include following everyone around, getting under our feet, sleeping on the job and accepting as much fuss as physically possible.

We also discovered something very important today…

He LOVES a Puppuccino. ☕️🐶

And apparently he’s already worked out that if he flirts hard enough with the staff at the Costa drive-thru, there’s a very good chance he’ll get one. 😂

8 weeks old and already knows how to work a room. 🤦🏻‍♂️

So if you happen to see this little black bear tagging along with us from time to time, make sure you say hello…

Just don’t mention Costa. We’ve created a monster. 😂🐾

Another roofline transformation completed 👌

This one came to us through a recommendation from one of our previous customers, which is always great to hear.

We replaced the existing roofline with new white uPVC fascias, soffits and guttering, including soffit ventilation to help maintain airflow into the roof space.

The new white roofline has really freshened up the appearance of the property, while also providing a clean, low-maintenance finish and getting the rainwater system ready for the wetter months ahead. 🍂🌧️

What makes this one even better is that this customer then recommended us to another customer — whose fascia, soffit and guttering replacement was the job featured in our last post.

🍂 A Small Upgrade That Makes a BIG Difference

With autumn approaching and the wetter months ahead, now is an ideal time to make sure your roofline is ready for everything the British weather has to throw at it.

On this property, we’ve replaced the tired, dated brown timber fascia and soffit, along with the existing guttering, with a fresh white uPVC fascia, soffit and guttering system.

It’s an upgrade that isn’t just about appearance.

Fascias, soffits and guttering form an important part of protecting the roofline. They help shield the ends of the roof structure from the elements, while an effective guttering system collects rainwater from the roof and directs it safely away from the property.

As we move into autumn and winter, falling leaves, heavier rainfall, wind and freezing conditions can quickly expose weaknesses in ageing roofline systems. Damaged timber, leaking joints, poorly performing gutters and deterioration around the eaves can eventually lead to much more expensive problems if they’re left unattended.

For this property, we’ve taken the roofline from black to crisp white, replacing all of the fascias, soffits and guttering throughout. The change has completely freshened up the exterior, giving the home a brighter, cleaner and much sharper finish. 🤍

Another full roof replacement completed by the Neate Roofing team.

This project involved removing the existing plain tile roof before installing a brand-new Double Roman tiled roof, providing the property with a durable, weatherproof finish and a smart new look.

A key part of this project was the safe removal of spray foam insulation from the underside of the roof. The homeowner had been struggling to sell the property, as many mortgage lenders are reluctant to lend on homes with spray foam insulation due to concerns surrounding roof inspections and the condition of the underlying timbers.

With the spray foam removed and a completely new roofing system installed, the property now has a roof that can be properly inspected, helping to restore buyer confidence and support the homeowner in moving forward with the sale.

Every stage of the project was carried out by our own in-house team, allowing us to maintain complete control over the quality of workmanship from the first tile removed to the final ridge tile fitted.
